Can I just say let's leave the "TDKR vs. the world" out this thread, please? I think TDKR looks amazing, I love how it is going to be culturally relevant and blah blah blah. I don't think it or Prometheus are any more "important" than the other. I want to see both.

Back to the trailer....is it me or does it look like [blackout]Noomi Rapace dies in the movie when we see her dirty and sick looking collapsing in her underwear?[/blackout] I hope they didn't give that away in the trailer but if that's the case, it seems they're subverting Ripley expectations with the film.

I doubt it. I expect something to "infect" the crew, but what the results will be is another thing entirely.

What I find a little peculiar is how many things or scenarios echo Alien. Almost as if it were a remake.

Footage looked pretty damn good but the teaser was alright at best. I'm sick of the big horns during trailers. I did like how the title was being slowly revealed throughout the whole thing. But like I said the footage looked pretty awesome so I look forward to more.

The being in the Space Jockey's area kind of looks like Abin Sur from the Green Lantern film and Seth from Stree Fighter 4.

Yes, thank you! Who the hell isn't ecstatic about both? TDKR and Prometheus are films that I cannot live without in 2012.

Yes, I noticed that as well. I agree with you. In fact, didn't Weaver comment on Rapace's character?

It may be normal now but the original teaser for Alien is very similar to this, including the horn/ screeching noise.

The horn and siren are two different things. The siren is in the original, but the style of editing and the opening horns are very Inception.

At least it looks good. Especially the... alien (as in non-human made) structures. I did notice that some of the human technology looks retro.
