I found that rather funny. The trailer as a whole was really good and a lot more intense than the previous ones that have been released. I cannot wait for this film and it's now just over a month until it's finally released.

I think their inevitable death is necessary for this type of story. Too bad too. I like Noomi Rapace


Edit: Also, noticed a space jockey suit on the ground when one of the crew hit it with a flashlight.

Her character seems like she'll take a lot of emotional punishment more than anything (even her little operation).

In the marketing/stills they've highlighted her crucifix and her faith/beliefs. Along with her enthusiasm from start of the trailers we've seen so far. She is ultimately going to be broken because of it.

Which sadly makes me more excited.

I think her belief in God will be one of the bigger parts of her character arc. I was actually hoping Scott would touch on that with making one of his characters beliefs so intense that no matter what she sees on this planet it doesn't make her psyche weaker but turns her faith into a weapon by causing her to sink more into it as events grow much harsher as it acts as a self defense mechanism if you will.

It's possible that the other characters who may seem stronger physically in the beginning end up being wasted early on because they start losing themselves in the madness of whatever they encounter on that planet without anything to hold onto like Noomis character.

Also I think what will shake up the characters psychologically the most won't exactly be the beings trying to eat them (although I'm sure that'll be part of it) but rather the secrets they uncover in relation to that human like head.

I still hope that despite everything falling apart around her that she ends up using her faith as a weapon to somehow overcome this or at least outlast the other crew members and have enough time to prevent the "alien" ship to reach Earth.

I think her faith will actually be a strength not a detriment. Near the end at least.
