All those deleted scene and not one interesting enough to demand to be put back into the movie. My problem with the squid is it should have been a bigger deal but because it happen so late in the movie there wasnt anytime for us to care about it until it latched onto the engineer. I say the movie needed another 15 minutes to explore the squid itself.

Watching it right now and I have to say the 2D cut of the film is absolutely beautiful. I thought it was pretty in IMAX but call me old fashioned...

I watched the 10 minutes of deleted scenes.

I liked the Shaw and Holloway scene and the extended scene between Vickers and Weyland.

Holloway is even more of a *****e than before. It was nice to hear Vickers actually acknowledge the alien octupus in the next room.

Idris Elba's southern accent is terrible in these deleted scenes it sounds like he isn't even trying sometimes.

Shaw's dialogue between her and holloway is great because it sheds more light on their conflicting ideologies (he, the scientist, and she, the religious woman). It also really fleshes out Shaw's past as well.

I wanna punch Holloway in the face after watching those deleted scenes. Jst the way he was degrading her and her ideas and just verbally having a go at her. I dont remember his charavter being such a *****e in the movie.

Is Holloway the *****e that throws a hissy fit when they find an alien corpse and he goes "boo hoo I wanted a live one! I'ma skulk now!"

The portrayal of scientists in that movie was dog ****e.

He wasn't necessarily saying that it wasn't his best because it left questions unanswered.

It does seem like the poster was dissatisfied by the exact way the film did play out though.

So I saw the full extended scene with Weyland and the Engineer with Weyland saying we are creators, we are gods and gods never die followed by the Engineer ripping Davids head off.

Saw the extend and deletend scenes pics

Shaw fighting the Engineer in Vickers pod and hitting him in the gut with the axe.

Janek comforting Vickers after killing Holloway.

They look like good and better scenes.

i knew. i f... knew that the acting didnt make sense in the context of the theatrical cut. here with the dialoge it works. it works. grrrrrr

Its like Ridley went lets take the big final action set piece at the end of the movie between Shaw and the Engineer and make it 1 minute long.

Lets cut all the character moments between the characters that actually make the movie make sense.

he said that watching the footage it didnt work that a small Shaw is fighting a big engineer. i understand him. but i would accept it because its a scifi movie.
