proto-Superman costume? (post some concepts if you want)

I think if they were to use a costume it should look nothing like what we know, maybe something dark with his face covered and he realizes it not his style so he goes with something totally opposite of it, and I would love to see lexes' reaction when he first sees him in it, I picture him saying something like sporting the latest in kryptonian fashion I see, with that a delivery and sly smile Rosenbaum has shown many times

Trying to come up with a logical and believable story for such a ridicilous getup as Supes' has to be the biggest challenge the human mind has ever faced. If someone cracks it we might as well quit the whole evolution thing since there's nothing left to gain.

The problem I have with the whole proto-costume is that we already have one in the red jacket/blue t-shirt combo. Even more so this season with the red and blue blur zipping around Metropolis.

Some of these designs are kind of cool but if they're going to give him a costume (I don't think they will) then they might as well give him the real thing.

The problem with this is that right now he's only helping people when at night when he's already in his trademark red and blues. What he -needs- is something lightweight that he can wear under his shirt and jacket at work.

Which is the hard part.

I loved the costume Ollie wore, but it would be a little tough for Clark to wear a jacket and jeans under his work clothes. A form fitting getup like Aquaman wears would probably be ideal.

... you know, designed more like superman.

I get your point Syncos, it's not an actual disguise or costume in the sense that Green Arrow's is. Clark doesn't change into the red jacket to go saving the day. But I don't want to see a halfway costume. Give us the real thing or don't bother.

I think take a bit more from Lois and Clark tv series. Before getting his Superman costume he has problems with flying super speed/lightning storms causing tears in his shirt.

So when he starts flying, they should use that in him developing alternative form of clothes to wear when in heroic action.

Btw, he wears his coat to often that would cause him to be recognized. Make sure a costume would not involve that same red coat

You have a point about that final impact of the "final suit" but I really couldn't see them doing some kind of pre-costume without using at least the red and blue colors in it.

At this point we just have the leagues costumes and the Canary's to judge what they might do and Honestly if they did one I see them doing something very similar to Barts without the lightning bolts and hood/glasses with blue and red colors.

Or maybe Clark will do the hood and sunglasses for a bit. I know that'd get some fans up in arms but hear me out.. I think it could work IF it is used to show us how Clark comes to the decision not to wear a mask.. Not just because he doesn't like it but because he realizes/learns that people trust him more without one... that his presence is accepted more because he doesn't hide his face. I think that would actually make a pretty good minor story arc between a few episodes..

At this point he should definitely be getting a ollie-league outfit. He's pretty much running errands for Ollie now.

I really want to manip one. I've got a lot of work to get out of the way first, though.

These look fantastic. I really like the Smallville Justice suits. Clark's jacket could stand to be more blue, like the one in identity. And with the yellow belt. With those two additions I think it would be a perfect stepping stone for Clark. Could possibly use more red. As it seems to be lacking. I don't think he should use the cape, though.

^^ love that steampunk Supersuit! Very snazzy. Wish we could work it in somehow. Maybe SV Clark has a dream of himself in that outfit (yowza!). Wakes; realizes it wouldn't work IRL (ISV), but a much simpler, sleeker version would.
