I doubt this film will be in Grainy film like Miami Vice.

Maybe it might be more like Collateral, just a HD Cam.

I hope so.

Plus, it seems like the digital stuff gets everyone excited and the crew/cameras are always getting in the way so you're always seeing shadows in the actors and stuff like that..

How big is Stephen Dorff's part in this?

And yeah, Bale was outacted in Dark Knight. He was better in Equilbrium.

Too bad they're made for killing and all that, but Tommyguns look so cool and stylish.

Bale + Depp + Tommyguns = Badass.

Pity they didnt release another pic of Marion, but I shouldnt complain. Depp look great.

This quote was in the Sun-Times this morning.

"He was like Robin Hood. He never kept most of the money he stole, he gave a lot of it away, actually. And he made sure that he avoided hurting anybody if he could help it. I love the guy." - Johnny Depp, describing his take on John Dillinger, whom he plays in Michael Mann's upcoming Public Enemies

So you would take Depp to a desert island with you if Marion's not available..?

It might look weird though.

Seeing an old depression era movie in crisp HD documentary style!
Then wouldn't a grainy look seem appropriate?

Depp Vs Bale

god this may be the most badass pairing i've ever seen

and tommy guns are just the coolest

Don't forget that Heat also promised Pacino vs. De Niro as the biggest event of the year with Mann as a director, but unfortunately it revealed only 50% of what was supposed to be.

I mean it was a good thriller, but far from great.

Whoa......Heat was BAD @$$!

One of the great crime dramas of the 90's. Fantastic performances by everyone involved. Public Enemies should be no different

This is completely different! If you read the story of John Dillinger you will know the movie will be amazing.

The story of Frank Lucas was also rich enough to turn into a masterpiece, yet the result was just a good crime thriller with the same formula of mixing biopic with gangs stuff, along with having some false moments that didn't really occur.

Depp! He's never bean in a bad movie! The only movie that suck was Nick of time.

How many times do I need to say this again? Actors don't mean story. They're not story. They don't write the screenplay. They don't shoot the film. They don't edit the film. What they do is acting, and that's their job.

There is exception (Chaplin, Welles), when actors have rights tod o far more than they usually do and participate in different kinds of work.

This case isn't that exception.

I disagree entirely about Heat. Heat is a great thriller and I see no reason why it would or should be a strike against this film.

The real shooting of Dillinger took play a couple blocks from where I live in Chicago.

Had no idea they were filming the movie until I walk past all these old cars and costumes. Next thing I know, they shoot the final shot of his life.

Crazy. Saw this thing being filmed. Can't wait to see it.

It's based on the Bryan Burrough's book Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave.

I think my dad's got a DVD about Dillinger I might watch it if he has.

Paramount is kinda lagging on the trailers, aren't they? Transformers, GI Joe and Public Enemies.

Looks like it has potential, but I've been fooled before.
