Punisher: WarZone Trailer Anticipation thread

I noticed that the hulk threads had one back before the TIH Trailers and tv spots came out, and saw that the only other trailer thread hasn't had a response since march, so i figured I'd make this so people could talk about what they want to see in the trailer. I personally want to at least see a glimpse of jigsaw, before the scarring though, cause i doubt they'll put that in the trailer. I've seen pictures of him from the comics and he looks a tad bit graphic for a trailer. Thats my two cents, discuss!

I'm just hoping to at least see a teaser of War Zone with TIH. It would seem like that might be the right time frame because Hulk comes out in June, the San Diego Comic Con in July. Here's hoping.

Well, the only reason I say I'm hoping to see it attached t Hulk is because its Marvel and it seems like the perfect opportunity for it.

I just wanna see SOMETHING! Yesterday I was playing The Punisher on PS2 and it once again reminded me how amazing this character is. I have somewhat high hopes for this upcoming movie. I'm just praying it delivers. Can't wait for the first footage! I just wanna see Castle doing and /or saying something completely badass so that I can play it over and over again. That's all I need!

I agree, and I would love to see it. But it just seems so early for a December release. It won't be a highly anticipated movie, so a teaser trailer early on wouldn't really get people excited.

Anchor: Coming up, Pongo's review of Saw 5... thousand.!! I'm just hoping we do at least get a teaser with Hulk. Just a little something. Cause, while the Punisher is not my favorite Marvel hero, he is one of my favorites. Can't wait to see Stevenson do his thing.

Yeah... I'm not emotionally attached enough to be upset by anything that most people in the Punisher forums seem to be disappointed by.

My favorite incarnations of the Punisher aren't always current or Max stuff, so I get to look objectively and just look forward to a crazy looking guy in the role, shooting and cutting his way through criminals in a black shirt with a skull on it. I win, no matter what with this film.

If they do certain story elements that connect the film to a specific run of the character... that's just a bonus.

Especially, if it's Frank shooting at a littering couple who accidentally drop a newspaper next to a trash can instead of into it, causing a taxi to run a redlight, who he feels the need to punish for breaking traffic laws, and then goes and shoots an abusive husband while he is watching tv. True story.

A trailer with the Hulk wouldn't be early for a December release. The teaser for the 2004 Punisher was played before June 2003's Hulk movie, so it is plausible that LGF would throw it in front of The Incredible Hulk.

Yeah, it seems likely a teaser will be with The Incredible Hulk, and I'm guessing that the actual full trailer will be in front of Midnight Meat Train.

Dammit! When I was on the main Punisher page all I saw was "Punisher Warzone Trailer" and I got excited for nothing.

I'm just so skeptical about trailers coming out sooner than later. I don't want to get myself too excited, because I got myself excited to see the Hulk trailer early on, and it didn't come out until like 4 months after I was expecting it to.

Promotion for the film should really start to kick up during Comic-Con. I think, unfortunately, they'll unveil the trailer there.

I'll be there. I know Wolverine will be there, and hopefully they won't release a trailer before Punisher: War Zone does.

I'd be perfectly content with a trailer similar to the one that French guy did.
I thought it captured the vibe I get from the comics and was very well done, especially considering it was just a test trailer. An "application", if you will.

Any of you guys heard the song "Enemy" by Drowning Pool? I know they are probably the last band you'd like to hear in a movie trailer, but this song is kind of different for them and the lyrics suit the Punisher perfectly:

No, it sucked using them in the '04 trailer (though that trailer is saved, because it used "In Time").

Ideally I would love to hear anything for the the Neurosis album Times of Grace album. Either way it'll probably be a **** metal song* (but hopefully not).

*And I say this as a metal fan.
