Question on Hulks appearance

Yep I agree, and would had that as much as I can see it work for a "monster" that size in 300, he's far from being the hulk in term of height, and especially width

A good use of both could definitely be a good option, but all make up and no CGI...

Height is not a problem. With forced perspective, scaled down sets or a little blue screen work, you can make a 6ft guy look like he's 8ft tall.
Width is not a problem as with make up you can build all the muscles and broad shoulders you want.
Put a little make up in this guy (who was once considered to be the body of the Thing) and you have the Hulk.

The only problem I had with CGI Hulk in Ang Lee's movie was the actual design of him. Fortunately Leterrier realizes all of this and will be giving us a CGI Hulk with an improved design. As long as I like the final design of his Hulk, which I'm confident I will, I'll be satisfied.

The only problem I had with CGI Hulk in Ang Lee's movie was the actual design of him.

I've got no problems with CGI Hulk in Ang Lee's Movie. But now it's 5 years later, it will be even better!

EXACTLY! ALSO, with all the new movies - Transformers, Iron Man, Spider-Man 3 and so on we got to see images of the characters long before the movie so look for the same thing! They want to create a buzz...

HULK HAS TO BE CGI, He is 1100lbs. of muscle with HUGELY disproportionate feet and hands and width. You can't create that with any realism from a real person. Thing is made of rock, that's a little easier to work with. He still doesn't have much range of motion though and that is apparent.

Well Rebecca Romijn was in 4 Marvel movies, Sam Elliot in 2 and there's that old guy with the glasses who pops up in every one of them. Must be related to Avi Arad.

All I ask is they don't make another 15' CGI King Kong Hulk! Bring him down in size. The Thing worked fine in FF. But even in that case I think the Thing should have been about 6'5" - 7'.

Honestly....If ILM can do that convincing a job on Davy Jones, then this shouldn't even be an issue. It just depends on how much effort they put into it. Most people saw Davy Jones and was like, that's a good ass costume, but it was all CG. Now if you can create a CG Hulk that has people going, that's a good costume, you know you're on your job.

Once again... Letterrier already said HULK will be roughly 3 meters tall. Which is in the 9' range. That should be perfect height! If they get the dimensions right it will be spot on!

Exactly. Thing is barely any bigger than Johnny Storm. Not the least bit intimidating or imposing. Both requirements for Hulk.

They did the face really well in Hellboy but with his shirt off it sucked. When he was lifting the weights his muscles didn't flex like it should in real life. It almost felt like rubber!

And the Hulk's body is all muscle. Imagine what a disaster it could turn out to be!

Not to mention that Ron Perlman is a beast of a man... he can pull off a suit because it's 90% him with a little bit of prosthetics. Norton would have to be like 60% prosthetics and it would look ridiculous.

But, I don't think there was ever serious discussion about not using CGI... so I don't think there was ever an actual alarm.

Ok HULK size has Been exaggerated since! From the normal HULK 7" 8" or something To a ridiculous king kong size!!! I used to watch Hulk on TV and I had no problem with [SIZE=-1]Lou Ferrigno [/SIZE]Size SO YES! Using make up like the way 300 does should be more than enough!

The Hulk's size in the first transformation of the last movie was quite good for me. He was huge, but not some kind of godzilla or king kong creature. The Hulk must be bigger than any human being without going overboard with it, and I think that first scene nailed it.

Without being 15ft tall, the Hulk is by every means "larger than life" and some "above the average dude" wouldn't do him justice at all.
And yes Lou is older now (not Old, it's not repectful of the man) and hum

And TV Hulk was puny...
