raimi and maguire dont have the privlege to work on the spider-man title.
These threads remind me of old times here. It's like stepping back into the past when we were naive and optimistic about SM-3.
Ultimate Spider-Man (the tv show) is leagues worse than Spider-Man 3, in least that movie had Sam Raimi's soul and was generally well directedMy initial reaction was incredible disappointment. SM3 is one of the only adaptions of Spidey in media I didn't like.
It wasn't me this time, i swear. But the other time it was meWho keeps digging up really old threads

I wouldn't call anyone naive, the trailers for SM3 were amazing. These threads remind me of old times here. It's like stepping back into the past when we were naive and optimistic about SM-3.

That's false advertisingSo of course the movie should be amazing as well. THAT's naivety.

That's false advertising
And I decided to stop caring about trailers for that reason
Could be worse, could be Uwe Boll

No he wouldn'tUwe Boll probably would have made a more entertaining third movie.![]()
[YT]rXOa5bWFRKw[/YT]Well, I take it SM3 wins only when against crappy TV cartoons.
I'm not sure what this means, but I only saw the very worst of Raimi's Spider-man movies here: the feeling that crappy comedy could fix everything up.
Where exactly? This movie had all kinds of bad decisions.

The trailers themselves are false advertising. Believing in them in naivety.
No he wouldn't

Scenes like this were also very funny

Like it or not Spider-Man is a giant soup opera, allways has been, comedy and chesyness are part of it.
The things is that it worked, what didn't work were things that were not from the comics like the dance scene, emo Pete and Sandman as Ben's killer. Little scenes like that one from the dinner were allways the highlights in Sam Raimi's series.Yes, some poor English-killing Inspector Clouseau impression. That's just golden comedy.
But Stan Lee knew better that not everything that works in comics will work on films.
