But Reeves had a much more commanding voice, and a much more magnetic, mature presence. Routh lacks both the command and the maturity, I think. He really feels like he's Clark Kent who's eventually going to grow into the Superman mantle, rather than the fully matured and iconic Superman.

Isn't that what a trailer is for? To sell you on something? To entice you? As much as I love some of the new footage (and there's not much here) there's too much of the old footage and dialogue that just turns me off from it. The last 20-30 seconds got me the first time and I overreacted with the score a bit.

Not an excuse. There should still be something innately arresting about him. When Superman walks into a room, there should be a presence and everybody should suddenly pay attention to him (and not just because he's wearing a cape and tights).

If Routh walked into a room, I wouldn't give him a second glance.

Every SINGLE time i watch a trailer for this movie i get goosebumps and the last scene where he is shot in the eye OMFG i sware i almost creamed, forgive me lol, its amazing this movie is going to decimate, it will be unreal and i am 110 sure that all skeptical's out there will be silenced!!!

Yep, I gave it a one, a poor on the scale. Now let me explain this, the new footage rules, and some of the expanded scenes look really cool. There is no flow to it. Especially the begining which has very little music/or the music is to quiet to hear under the dialogue. Either way, this trailer was put together by a thousand monkeys. It's actually one of the most craptastic movie trailers I've seen come out in a long time.

Can't wait for teh movie, but man, these substandard, highschool film class slide show previews have got to stop

WOW.... another reason to give this trailer a 10.... put together by a thousand monkeys... You know how hard is to get ONe monkey to do a simple thing, to to make a thousand monkeys to work together and edit a movie trailer.... That´s impresive...

He's just kind of... well, flat. There's nothing particularly arresting about his Superman. Does he fit? I suppose so, but there's nothing extraordinary about him.

The biggest problem with Routh is that there's just no sense of commanding presence, either physically or vocally. And Superman should be commanding to an epic degree - he should be almost god-like, in that sense. Vocally he sounds weak (compare to Superman's voice in the TAS), and physically he just looks like some dude in a suit.

I want Superman to feel like a god just descended from Mt. Olympus and walks among mortals. Routh doesn't do that for me.

I disagree, his voice actually sounds more demanding than Reeve to be honest. I'm not saying that Reeve didn't have a commanding voice but Routh's sounds deeper than his. I remember thinking the same thing when someone released the audio for the comic con trailer last year as well as thinking that Routh sounds older than he looks

My favorite was Lex saying "Now fly!"

I thought he said "now FRY!"???.... That was definitly a good line, but my favorite and most beautiful line was DEFINITLY delivered by superman him self! "You wrote that the world doesn't need a savior...but EVERY DAY I hear people crying for one"... I shed a tear after he said that line (NO ****ING KIDDEN!)... It's with out doubt the most beautiful trailer I've EVER seen

I've seen some say that this trailer isn't all that good... I aint mentioning names, cause you know who you are.... sure every one has a right to their own oppinions... but I have a right to mine (and acording to the poll, over 70% agrees with me)... you guys must be out of your ****ing minds saying that this trailer wasn't all that mindblowing and great... that's EXACTLY what it is!!!! Every one who didn't give to much for this movie, will DEFINITLY get interested after seeing this trailer!

the new trailer almost put me to sleep. the first one sent chills down my spine with william's score, this one seemed dull and melodramatic.

Could you please at least try to sound convincing?
