Not really. I mean I know I'm not active in here posting wise, but I pop in to read up and see set pics. I has not grown on me.

But looking back at the Riami suit it looks horrible in pictures too, so I assume in motion this will look better.

Really? Aw.

But yeah, all that really matters is how it'll look on screen.

It kinda baffles me how someone can hate the Raimi suit, but love the ASM2 suit. They're pretty much identical, with the differences between them being negligible. I don't think it's weird to like one more than the other, but to feel opposite ways about them is...well, weird. JMO.

Well I was indifferent with the Raimi suit,and I simply LOVE the TASM2 suit,and this is coming from someone who thought TASM's was damn good(Except soles,the basketball texture and lack of belt)

And no,they aren't identical,look beyond the obvious

1.TASM 2's suit is really sleek and slender(Or rather the guy underneath is) while Raimi's suit wasn't,it got really pudgy in SM3.
That imo is an important aspect of Spider-man,he is supposed to slender

2.The raised webbing is Black/grey,So much better than Raimi's Silver

3.Eyes:Nuf' said

4.Webb's Spidey symbol is better

The Raimi suit was absolutely beautiful and still amongst the best of the best adapted superhero costumes to date in my view.

I really can't understand how this is being attacked the way it is. Baffling.

I love that design. However, I am not a fan of the absurd amount of muscle padding and muscle shading they used on the suit throughout that trilogy.

It just looks awful.

Also look beyond the raised black/grey webbing, the webbing design is a slightly updated one from ASM.

I'm not a fan of the muscle padding for the Raimi suit either, but the suit as a whole I still love. I look at the Raimi suit and the Web suit like i look at Romita, Sr. and Romita, JR: both are great versions of the costume, with slight differences to make it their own:

At first I thought the new lenses look like Mark Bagley USM lenses, and I still think they do with the exception that Bagley's lenses extend the black in the frames at the top of the eye a bit more, but they're definitely more JRJR.

maybe because they experimented before with that texture and i remember seeing somewhere that Andrew had problem with the material from the first movie...idk

That texture though is screenprinted on, so the material has no bearing on the pattern. that was chosen seperately from the material, like I said, Im on board with the suit now, but I dont like that pattern is basically exact from the raimi flick. Also and this is a nitpick and wonder/doubt if it will even show in the movie, but i wish the soles of his shoes were red.

I do love how bright the blue is looking in some of these photos and hope it comes off more like that on screen than the dark blue.

The Raimi suit is cooler to look at over all, I feel. It's sleek. I would love to see it on someone of Andrew's build.

Where I feel the ASM2 suit is "better" is how the red portions are thinner and curve with the shoulder and chest muscles, and the eyes, obviously.

My perfect Spidey costume would take several elements from both suits: AS2 eyes, Raimi webbing design (slightly darker color), ASM2 red arms, Raimi belt and boots.

It's funny, the ASM1 suit was interesting to look at - there was a lot going on, in a good way, but they removed all of that for the sake of a more traditional design. The new design turned out very well, but I feel it lost some of that micro-detail that made the first one so interesting. Makes me very curious to see where they go for ASM3.

I'm not crazy about the shiny material and the lowered belt. In some photos the red almost looks burgundy.

I actually think he's perfect as is. "Slinkiness" Spidey just looks better to me

there's been quite a few images and vids, including the meet and greet with the amazing spider-fan. spider-man on the top of the cop car is presumably spencer because we know he was at rochester.

but yeah, mainly i'm going by garfield's neck in order to determine whether it is him or spencer in the outfit. indeed there could be a third person inside the suit i am unaware of.

in the shots i've seen with the shorter neck, i thought the costume was filled out better.
