TASM2 suit uses the exact same grid web pattern as the ASM suit, except the slightly raised webbing this time allows for a bit more curvature to create the real webbing look. It's very noticeable on the mask but much very subtle throughout the rest of the suit.

This. It's there but its REALLY subtle.

It's not nearly as noticeable as the Raimi suit.

As much as I want them to keep this design intact for ASM3, I hope they find a middle ground between the two web patterns curve noticeability

At the very least, something close to SM1's.

Hehe, this reminds me of that time Spidey poped up in FF and the Torch lost his trunks at a water park...

I really like the colors in the edited one. Maybe the suit will look like that in the movie, but I doubt it will look any brighter.

tested with photoshop, doesn't look as good as with three rows
Really? I'm not saying I don't trust you or anything, but is it possible for you to post it up here so I can see it?
The belt really isn't that thick. It's sort of an optical illusion. The belt has 3 layers in the web pattern rather than the traditional 2, so it makes the belt seem thicker than it really is. The belt is no thicker than Raimi's was, if not a little thinner than that one. Though, that is a rough comparison because the Raimi belt did warp(?) in shape as in went around where as the ASM2 belt is even all the way around. Also, the Raimi belt sat higher on the body.

I understand what you mean. Either way, even if it is an optical illusion, it still makes the belt part look a little off to me. I actually like how the belt sits a little lower than the Raimi suit though.

I like the design of the new costume and excuse the pun but think it'll look amazing onscreen with Webb's slightly darker world.

Am I the only one who thinks the suit looks too big for whoever is wearing it?

TASM's suit was sleek and Spidey looked slender(like he should look),this one here looks a bit bloated

I miss the old suit,it was really creative and well done

Totally agree. I loved TASM's slender Spidey. I am pretty sure the pics we are looking at is of a stunt suit though. Andrew's suit is made just for him and should be close to the slender Spidey.

I wouldn't ask for it in silver. I'd just prefer to have it look more web like rather than a straight grid. It's just a bit plain and looks like it's missing that extra little flourish. It's not the end of the world, just a little niggle. I still like the TASM2 suit, but I prefer the Raimi suit overall.

Yeah I agree with the extra little flourish haha. I guess they just wanted to keep that little aspect from TASM. It seems to only be "webbed" on his mask.

Yeah. Def not Andrew in that suit.

I always hated how mean looking the Rami suit looked with its triangle lenses.

The new suit kicks soo mich Ass now thats Spidey :D

Seriously though I'm digging it.

Yeah. Def not Andrew in that suit.

Correct.

In comparison to the Raimi suit. I had no problem with the eyes. Spider-man always looked serious and ready for action. This guy looked like a pro. This was great.

The new suit the eyes I think give a great expression but in another way. It will fit perfectly with the wise cracking and head movements Garfield likes to make.

texture wise, I think it equally stands out. They will light the scene to bring out the texture, that's why it's there.

Also Garfield is just super skinny compared to Tobey and they don't seem to want to throw in a muscle suit. Again that's fine but it changes the costume. The new suit has smaller webs and what not because smaller body. Though again Garfield/Webb like Spidery to have more physical expression.

Yeah, those two suits don't look THAT much like each other, the only way it truly does is in a "general" way, which has a lot to do with the fact that that's how the suit looks in the comic.

I like how we have that gawdawful ASM suit and now we are somehow back to nitpicking Raimi's suit. HAHAHAHAHA.

Overall,I still like Raimi's suit, but this new one is a vast improvement over the Amazing Spider-man's version. Although,I will say the eyes on this new suit look a bit better than what Raimi's suit had.

Raimi's suit really was pretty crap.

I don't think there's a single thing I like about it.

I won't go so far as to call it crap, I liked it well enough throughout the first three movies, but especially in that pic the silvery webs REALLY stand out and not in a good way imo.

Also I never had a problem with the eyes until I saw the new ones.

I can't get over how perfect the suit is. Still miss the TAS-M suit. I hope it's in this movie at least once or twice. It'd be a bit weird to start of the movie and he has this costume..
I want to know how he gets it!

I am going to miss the ASM suit. It was sleek, a bit evil looking--something like a real spider does, and the colors were fantastic on film. I was honestly hoping they would just have made some tweaks to it to make the design a bit different but oh well...this new suit does look pretty cool.

And seriously, what's the hate for the Raimi suit?? I don't get it. It was and still is, one of the best on screen CBM suits that we've gotten. My only nitpick is the silver webbing...I've never liked that design choice...never will. Otherwise it kicks ass.

Oh come on, the Raimi suit was excellent as well. I think it looks more like the really early costume from the Steve Ditko era, whereas the ASM2 suit looks like the costume from the John Romita Jr. era (with the larger eyes and everything).

I've always really liked the silver webbing on the Raimi suit, personally. The webbing just stands out in a way that looks really good/sleek on film. That said, I don't think the silver webbing would have worked with the bigger eyes that are on the ASM2 costume (it would have looked too busy, I think). The black, thinner webbing was a really good choice to make the larger eyes stand out really nicely.

Anyway, I'd say that both the Raimi suit and the ASM2 suit should make ANY Spider-Man fan giddy. He looks fantastic in both, I'd say! I also think both costumes stay true to the character. All in all, though, I think the new costume is the best (if I HAD to pick one).

(The ASM1 suit still makes me cringe though. Jaundiced eyes, I'm telling you. Jaundiced. Eyes. Thank goodness that problem was fixed for this movie!)
