It's gotta be a tough job taking on a Spider-man movie...it's not just the pressure to do your job well and try to deliver a quality product, you've also got the 50 years worth of die-hard fans pounding their fists into the air demanding certain things.

If it were me, I'd just try to concentrate on doing the best that I could and try to be faithful to the character and know that no matter how well I do, there's no pleasing everyone.

Amen. I think that's exactly what Marc's doing. It's obvious that this time around, he just really wants to make a great Spidey film. Period. Tons of action, classic sleek suit, wonderful cast, entertaining villains, etc.

I do like this new (old?) costume, but it just hammers in the idea that TASM was just made for business purposes and that the costume just needed to look different for the reboot. There was no real point in changing it.

Still, hopefully this is a sign that TASM2 will be the film that Webb and co. want to make and not Sony breathing down their necks 24/7.

I hope so. If they do, then my only complain with the suit are the heals they added to his feet, or the shininess of the suit. To be honest I like this suit more than any previous one.

I didn't like the ASM suit at all. With the Raimi suit I didn't like the grey webbing, and the padded on the suit. I"m really digging the bigger eyes on the new suit, which look better than the smaller lenses on the Raimi suit. The ASM suit is beginning to look like a joke.

i guess we won't see the soles of his feet all that often, but i do agree that simply making them red would have probably worked better.

as for the shininess, i don't mind it, plus i guess that's where lighting and colour correction comes in? not sure to be honest, but i have no qualms with the colours at all.

Definitely the best suit in my opinion. My nit pick is I wished they they had made the black of his eyes bigger (like JRJR, Ramos, or Ditko)

Ramos makes them too thick, I'd go Romita sr or Alex Ross kinda thick instead

I think the transparency have more to do with the lighting, angle and focus of the shot. But maybe they do have different lenses on hand.

The bulge is just a crotch piece because of the stunt suit. The real suit obviously doesn't have that huge bulge.
