I voted Best Spidey costume yet, because objectively it is. It's not my favorite, but I can't deny that it is the most accurate costume that Spidey has had in a movie so far.

There's a point where people have to realize that a $150 million dollar picture just isn't going to have him wearing a cheap homesewn costume. People want to see Spider-Man, not Peter Parker in ill-fitting pajamas. It's just bizarre to me that the same people who find spider powers and lizard people perfectly acceptable balk at the idea that a highly intelligent and resourceful kid couldn't manage to somehow acquire an outfit that doesn't look like it came from the Halloween sale rack at Wal-Mart.

Who's saying they have a problem with that idea? I certainly don't, only just prefer the risky look that Webb gave us in the first film. It was a risk I was a fan of.

Not anybody in particular, just keep seeing the idea (over the last decade+, since Spidey 1) that the outfits look too professional for a broke teenager. I just think it's a little silly to concentrate so much on what's a pretty unimportant aspect, is all. I mean does anyone REALLY want a cheap homemade costume?

Raimi's suit looked too professional not just for a broke teenager, but for Spider-man. (people can actually manage to replicate the Raimi suit on their own budget).
I think it is important not to over complicate the suit when every interpretation of the character portrays the suit as cheap and generally simple to manufacture. For me, that was always part of the charm, not to mention that it added to the comedy in the stories.

Imagine how different 'kickass' or 'super' would be if they were in multimillion dollar molded foam rubber outfits that in real life would fall apart in 20 minutes, it would be completely out of place. That's how I felt with Raimi's costume.

The ASM2 costume however has a great balance of simplicity and flashiness.

My god, the suit looks amazing in this picture.

I'm really starting to love this suit more than TASM's suit, wich I never thought I would tbh.

Shot right, that suit will be the best costume brought to screen. Better than the mach III.

My only nitpick is still that it doesn't look like a natural evolution from the first suit. Other than that, it's fantastic.

This suit is going to look phenomenal in action. Picture the sequences in the last 30 seconds of TASM, all the Spidey movements and signature poses... Only in this costume. Bad. Ass.

Wooee! Nerdgasm. Off topic, but does new costume/web shooters mean new THWIP sound? Haha and don't get me wrong, I enjoy the TASM thwip sound.

This is hands down my favorite Spidey suit of all time, I don't even need to wait to see this baby in action.

And I love how, like TASM suit, this one also creases and he bends his arms and turns his head in certain positions. Looks ripped from the comics. I do wish they could've incorporated TASM glove design into this suit somehow.

New photo is great. I too appreciate the fact that the fabric bunches up around the arms (not so much around the head, though).

It appears that there actually is some slight muscle shading (around the torso). I'm glad that they dropped the shading on the abs (it was my one complaint about Raimi's suit), but I wish that there was some ever-so-slight shading on the collar bones - it breaks up the giant red region and helps suggest a more toned body without the need for overboard shading else where.

I don't think the suit even needs muscle shading. It's absolutely perfect and Andrew has the perfect physique for it.

If they change the costume every movie, I'll be happy. By the looks of things they're progressively leaning more and more to the comics. By TASM 3 we'll have the perfect Spidey. Utility belt, small chest spider and big circular fat back spider.

Don't get me wrong - the suit is great and I absolutely agree about Andrews physique. I'm just offering an opinion that's a small complaint (lack of a better word). Suit is already a 9.5 for me, this would make it a 9.6, lol.

Really? Why if I may ask?

I wasn't really sure about the suit neither first, but after seeing that picture I'm convinced it will look amazing on screen.

I'm with you, White_Knight. I absolutely love the TASM suit and was underwhelmed by the first images of the TASM2 suit. However, the pics we've seen in the past week or 2 are really turning me around on it. I'm really starting to love the new suit. Still think the eyes are a touch too big and the boots somewhat clunky, but the more I see, the more I like.
