They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. I guess Joker's got a very dark and creepy soul :cwink:
Black soul, white skin. (that could be a good tag line for a Joker poster:woot: ).

i think ledger has chubby cheeks anyway. you notice the chin in the knife pic? a little flabby.

He doesn't at all, that's the thing. All the recent photos of Ledger (not Joker) I've seen recently I've thought, wow he really has perfect facial structure (minus maybe the slightly bulbous nose) for the Joker. Really high and well defined cheekbones. Then they go and slap two pieces of lard on his face and ruin it all.

I wouldn't worry about this. I think it's just the fact that his head is tilted down that's making his face look a little chubby. And the big overcoat makes him look heavier there too.

Every other picture of him has clearly shown us that he's definitely got that thin and lanky Joker frame. No worries.

Also Heath said in one of the latest interviews that its not prostetics that made up the scars/makeup it was something new and very comfortable and quick to apply...But if anyone is familiar with Heath Ledger you kno very well he`s a skinny guy...or at the least definatley not a bit chubby at all!

Best picture yet, creepy as hell.... now if Ledger pulls out an amazingly pyschotic performance he'll outshine Hammil and become the #1 Clown Prince of Crime.
You mean Hamill's voice. As great as Hamill was I don't think you can compare a cartoon with a live action performance.

Okay, whatever the 'technical' term is. The way I see it, if you add something to your face, it's a prosthetic.

i don't know. his chin is a little chunkified in that picture. a little jowly

Hammil performed the Joker as well in the studio and most of his movements were used for the Joker as well.... if I remember the behind the scenes documentary.

Don't get me wrong, Nicholson is okay- but a Joker already surpassed him. Hoping Ledger can one up Hammil, and from the reports from Michael Caine- sounds like he did.

Nicholson wasn't scary enough, Hammil frightened me sometimes.

Definitely. I've noticed that his whole facial structure is pretty even, specifically meaning no flabby cheeks.

For some reason I thought the bank sequence. But maybe not because his clothes were different I think in the first scene. If not that.....

I`d say this is a picture of him coming out of the truck after its flipped and he`s about to spray bullets with a machine gun...he looks pissed now but I can so imagine him out of nowhere go guns blazing shooting anything in site with a smile on his face but with the same look in his eye!

Interesting, I didn't know that. But still Heath is going to be the best:woot: .

If his chin is chunkified - then I'm John Prescott.
meh. i guess it's just me. i mean, i know ledger is really skinny and lanky. but in that picture it always looked like he had some extra skin there.

This is the joker pic I've been waiting for. It is pure undiluted psychotic evil. All my concerns about TDK's joker appearance have been appeased. Plus from the look of his skin or make-up job, I no longer care if its make-up or perma white.......this is the ****

Since he FRIGHTENED Michael Caine, I have little to no doubt about that.

Heath did say in one of the earliest interviews that it was going to be more about his eyes and not as much the smile...Might have been the same interview when he first mentioned clockwork orange if im correct

Yes, Sir.

well he definetly accomplished that.

See, It always personally bothered me how Joker changed his outfits in Batman '89. I felt like I was seeing a guy in a costume, which is fine if that's your cup of tea. That's certainly one way to approach the character. TDK Joker looks more like he's wearing clothing, rather than a costume which is my preference. That said, the '89 outfits themselves looked cool. Especially the one on the city hall steps with the top hat. Top hats rule.

Good point, and like you said. It all just comes down to which interpretation you prefer best. I agree Jack's attire was very much in a "costume" manner as opposed to normal strange colored clothing(as Ledger's version is). I've always like the Joker best as an entertainer, and the world is his stage. But what you say is quite valid. . .

Touché.

So are we the kind of Internet People who will see a picture of a beautiful woman in a bikini lounging in the sand pouring cocoa butter on herself and then say, "I don't know, the toe after her big toe is bigger than her big toe. She's not that hot."

Is that what we are, people?

is it not slightly annoying to you guys that we got two detailed pictures within one week for absolutely nothing, and we had to endure the whysoserious pumpkin crap and all that other nonsense only for the ultimate payoff to be one photo of the joker tapping his fingers together, in the dark, in the back of a car?
