Jesus, you like the Bat suit but not Joker? It's funny how some of us except more change for Batman, and some of us it's Joker.

Not so much the suit (Ive come to accept it's always gonna be that way) the iconic-ness of the image.

Now...that is The Joker. Say what you will about the make-up and all, but the look Heath is giving is 100% Joker. Geez, this is going to be amazing.

Nah, don't agree with that. All fan film Jokers looked ridiculous, even with the benefit of a quality make up job and prosthetics. And the clothes for this movie are light years ahead of what was used in Batman '89. For me the jury's still out on the extended smile, though I already know I like it better than Nicholson's perma smile.

Fanfilm Jokers don't look any more ridiculous than the character is actually depicted in the comics and cartoons, with his exaggerated features, etc.

You need to check out what some people with actual knowledge about makeup and costuming can do with their appearances. Check out the BROTHER OF THE BAT and LEGION OF SUPERHEROES messageboards.

I'm not sure what you mean by Ledger's Joker's outfit being "light years better" than 89's, as they are just two completely different approaches to the basic classic outfit. Both look pretty decent.

IMO from an appearance standpoint the messy haphazard look gives him an odious gravitas that a dandy looking Joker could simply never achieve.
