Starlord hasn't remained virtually unchanged while headlining his own comic for over five decades, had multiple animated series, etc. Not even the same thing. God that example is tired.

Things change for the film medium

In this case, for the worse.

"The film’s mysterious first teaser arrived early this week, breaking records as the most-watched trailer in 20th Century Fox’s history."

Guess those weren't real people :whatever:

Yes, because every single person who saw the free, 1 minute+ teaser will still be interested to put money down on a 1 hour 45 minute ish movie.

Every single one of those people liked what they saw.

Totally.

Which is why our trailer lacked anything regarding action setpieces or characterization.

My guess is that trailer 2 is going to be much improved thanks to reshoots/editing.

This is not an action movie. The director and producer have made it very clear in their interviews. If you think the reshoots will add action scenes and there will be a lot of human torch flying or the thing smashing stuff then you are mistaken.

:funny:

I love this.

These FF threads are a hotbed of paranormal phenomenon, what with all the psychics around here.

And if the critics, magazine writers and bloggers didnt like the trailer... you would have posted it here just to back up your disinterest to the trailer right? But since they liked it...they are now the ones that have to compensate for all the "real" people who arent interested.

What are you talking about....

When it comes to this reboot Fox has had the media in their back pocket the whole time. For every "whats wrong with this reboot?" article there were 5 ridiculously driven "Give the reboot a chance" counters. If nothing else the post made for good click bait.

4/10.Not good, let's hope the film will at least be acceptable.

Large numbers of views = large numbers of people who like the Fantastic Four.

HUGE numbers of dislikes after they've seen the video = people not liking what they see.

But my comment was a flip one, and as I've said in other places, I expect this film will do well because people like the Fantastic Four.

The FF is certainly bigger than Ant-Man, so everything being equal, more people will show up for a movie called Fantastic Four than will show up for a movie called Ant-Man.

At over 16,600 'dislikes', the FF trailer could very well be the most disliked trailer in youtube history.

The second AOU has a little over 6,000 dislikes with over 31 million views.

Can anyone find a more disliked trailer than FF? That would be a fun game.

I just checked Catwoman, Green Lantern and TMNT, and they have far fewer dislikes than FF. Does anybody have any good candidates for trailers that might have more than 16,000 dislikes? I think that's a pretty high bar.

It's like people didn't understand what they were doing with that Steve Weintraub interview the day before.

That was done for the sole purpose of dropping buzzwords and soundbites, and feeding the media, the GA, and non-FF fans everything they know they want to here, to sway the negative opinion in this film.

One just hopes this is as troubled as we've been lead to believe and that, at least, the poor villain and lack of real superheroing in this film can kill it.

Dunno... Michael Bay and Edgar Wright might see things differently.

1. Michael Bay is a cinematic anomaly. The worse his films are, the more they make. The better they are, the less they make.

2. Edgar Wright is a good filmmaker, but they appeal to a very niche audience. And he ruined his chance for large scale success by screwing over one of the most popular studios and their fanbase.

Yeah, whats so funny?

Nobody wants to see that in a FF movie. :o

Pfft, yeah! Who wants to see amazing spectacle related to each character's unique and interesting powers in a movie about them?!

Entitled comic book nerd haters whiners that's who!

Approval: 77.81%

Approval: 96.49%

I GUESS THOSE AREN'T REAL PEO - oh.

That's awkward!

All these fake people and their fake reality.

The Adam Sandler masterpiece Jack & Jill has a pathetic 48.97% approval (324 dislikes)

I believe time will tell on that one :o

I don't watch Adam Sandler movies but I don't hate them either because there's no stock in it. .

Now this reboot, people clearly hate and rightfully so.
