That sounds like you're saying it would distract from them, just that you don't think that's a bad thing. Obviously, "street-level" Inhumans are being introduced in Agents of SHIELD anyway so it's a moot point whether they need to be introduced somewhere else first. My point is it would take the focus away from the royal family.

You know,I doubt he's gonna be in IW1.
I feel like when Thanos kills off half the universe, we wind up with all the iconic characters being dead and it's up to a new team of Avengers to stop Thanos.
Winter Soldier replaces Captain America and eventually dons his uniform.
War Machine replaces Iron Man and also dons his armor.
Mockingbird replaces Black Widow.
Falcon takes Hawkeye's place.
Luke Cage replaces Hulk.
Doctor Strange replaces Thor
Ant-Man and Wasp replace Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.
Spider-Man replaces Nick Fury.
Vision replaces... himself I guess since he'll still be fulfilling the same role on the team. In fact, he and War Machine will be the only two Avengers left. He survives the purge at Avengers Tower by virtue of not technically being "alive" since he's a machine.
Much like in the original story, Adam Warlock, Gamora and Drax will all play a role. Star Lord will replace Silver Surfer. Drax will be revealed to be an Eternal since his origin was never specified, just that he was an alien and has a daughter on Earth who is never shown. Rocket Raccoon, Groot and Phylla don't have any counterparts in the original story but w/e, the Guardians are coming.
Since Marvel don't own Doctor Doom's film rights, I expect his role to be filled by either Kingpin or Zemo. Both of them can fill Doom's role as the enemy who teams up with the Avengers but winds up dying due to his own greed.
Oh, and everybody I listed above dies horribly. The savior of all reality is... Nebula.
The film ends with Thanos defeated and Adam Warlock offering him a chance at redemption among the Guardians.
There is your Infinity War Part 1 story. Infinity War Part 2 should bring back the old Avengers with new additions Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Black Panther, Daredevil and Captain Marvel and introduce Moondragon to the MCU where all hands are on deck to fight the Magus.
So are all the people saying "Why would you want Marvel to get Spidey/FF back? They wouldn't get a film made until 2020!!!" eating plenty of crow yet?t: Goooood.
Unfortunately, most MCU fans don't watch Agents of SHIELD. The movies will have to cover some of the same ground to get people up to speed. They aren't going to assume that everyone knows that you enter a chamber and get this mist stuff etc...
Quite like this theory. BP as a rallying cry, perhaps after going underground post-CW, would be far better than him being cued up pre-IW1, and I always saw Captain Marvel as the bridge that brings the Guardians together with the Avengers to fight ThanosThe way I see it both of their roles and import to the MCU will be greatly advanced. Assuming a crushing Avengers defeat at the end of Infinity War I (and that's almost a certainty) I would have BP play the role of earthbound Avenger rally we/recruiter/peacemaker (which would carry over well from his likely tweener role in Civil War). Then it would be Carol's job to use her cosmic powers to recruit some galactic help in the battle. Guardians? Inhuman royals? (That could be a real nice Segway into a post IW Inhumans flick too.)
Right, but they can also do that by not retreading the same ground. If you look in the Inhumans forum, the discussion is "who should play Black Bolt, who should play Medusa" not "who should play new character introduced in the past five years who was transformed by the Terrigen bomb."

Yeah but fans are kinda notorious for not predicting curveballs. Most fans assumed beyond a shadow of a doubt that Ant-Man was gonna be a Hank Pym movie, for instance.
Well, I don't think it's a curveball since plenty of people are taking it for granted that it'll happen. To me, it detracts from what makes the Inhumans interesting in order to make them more like another Marvel property instead.
Thank you!Welcome to the hype. Yes, it's part of phase 3.
