I wonder if any critics are going to pay any attention whatsoever to Sci Fi whenever Battlestar Galactica ends. Right now, it's the only well-regarded piece of content Sci Fi airs.

It's an okay show, but I always see critics puting it down for being simplistic or by-the-numbers. It's not really all that innovative as a TV show.

I've seen the commercials for 'Sanctuary' and am not interested...someone needs to tell Tapping that this whole 'being creative' thing isn't going to work

Yea, exactly. I think their pretty similar as well, except one uses the supernatural as its McGuffin, the other science.

Oh, I like it. I'm just saying it's not a critical darling like BSG, which is really the only Sci Fi Channel show that critics seem to like. Kind of sad when a few years ago they had Farscape and SG-1 before it got stale.

I'd sooner tell her the whole "horribly fake English accent" thing isn't working. But I watched one of Sanctuary's webisodes and, yeah, the whole series seems terrible.

Yup, but it won't play in the states until January, so it'll probably get to you guys by late spring.

way to be pessimisticlly truthfull --
its a sad commentary on america's idiocy. makes me wish america were more like britain where they make things of quality that seem to last at least for a few seasons...

there are definitely less networks in US willing to take chances. Some of the shows considered the best shows ever had horrible ratings in the beginning. That doesnt happen anymore. Carnivale and Black Donnellys have been cancelled before their time.

I thought Carinvale was bagged because the producer had a complete falling out with Time Warner and HBO and they refused to renew his contract?
