yeah liked the season finale alot and agree with the things about the 3 act
if his parents are angels or sumthin(his mum knows alot that she aint sayin) lol could just pull a full U-turn and make it out
that Sam's brother is the anti-christ
and thats why he's a reaper to train and crap.....oh think me-inner geek came out abit there : P

I hope this doesnt happen just because [blackout] evil brother/twin [/blackout] has been done

Something tells me that there won't be a season three and it has nothing to do with bad ratings but:

there are rumors of the CW Network folding this time next season

I heard about that. If overall ratings for the network doesn't pick up. Reaper & Supernatural will need to find a new home. :csad:

Watched 'Superman: Doomsday' last night.

All of a sudden, Perry White's voice sounded very familiar - then I realised it was Ray Wise providing the voice.

Awesome. :D

I can see another network picking up Supernatural. Come to think of it, or any of the basic cable networks owned by Warner Bros?

Reaper's in bigger danger 'cause they still need to build a real fanbase. Supernatural has already had three full seasons to build their fanbase, but Reaper will only have one, really. And next season, it's not even coming back until spring. Next season, the show's gotta be on fire from start to finish.

was really hoping Sam would just ask
the devil if he was his father at the end aswell
. Oh well.

this show does def deserve a second season and beyond, and i am for one glad it is, been one of the best shows running this yr and abit.
It would've been pointless to ask. All Sam would've gotten is the lingering doubt of whether the devil was lying, regardless of the answer the devil gave him.

This show deserves more episodes, it´s really gained momentum in the second half the season.

As for what´s going on here are some possibilities as I see them:

1.
Sam really is the devils son. The whole Steve thing was all planned by the Devil to cast doubt in Sam´s and Tony´s mind about the truth.
2.
Sam´s mom and "dad" didn´t make a deal to heal the "dad´s" illness but rather for immortality and if they let the cat out of the bag they lose the immortality.
3.
God is cuckolding the devil. Heaven´s people found out about Sam´s parents deal with the devil and replaced them with angels and Sam is meant to sneak into the devils domain and conquer it from the inside
.

4.
The second coming angle could work, though given this series general tone I find this unlikely but considering they must know that the 13 episodes are all there is going to be they just might decide to go crazy.

What about, if his dad is a demon and his mum is human, he might be a half breed, perhaps the first of his kind.

Or

Sams dad actually died, when he was sick and he was allowed to come back as a demon,(sams mum made the deal with the devil to get his dad back)

Or Sam's i the devils son, and his "parents" are demons sent to watch over him as a child

Okay I'm a couple episodes behind so I have a couple of questions.

1. Is Gladys a human or a demon?

2. Is Gladys properly dead or can she comeback? If it's the latter I'm am gonna be so pissed off.

I believe shes a demon, and if so prollynot alive or dead but from another plain of existence

Gladys is a demon. She has horns and everything. I doubt she's dead, she's just stuck in Hell again.

Nope she is free, sam got the devil to release her from hell, which still makes me wonder, why is the devil been so nice to sam, regardless of whether he is his son or not.

Given that Kevin Smith is a creative consultant and has most likely read Preacher, I can't help wondering if it's because Sam's parents are a demon and an angel and, as a being the world has never seen before, Sam might actually be able to harm the devil if he ever realized what he is. So it's actually in the devil's best interest to keep Sam as placated as he can without giving away the fact that he's scared of him. Just a theory.

Ive heard about preacher but never read it.That does sound like an interesting theory, and the writers i feel could do more with that, than the "sam is the devils son theory".However what if sam is actually the devil himself, and the devil is really just some kinda" guidence person".

That would be... odd. I'm not sure how they could really work with that. Once it's revealed, where do you go? The devil just becomes some lackey, which is a bit of a waste of Ray Wise's wonderful performance.

True,im still suprised that sam himself has questioned why the devil has been so nice to him.I mean surely he must suspect something, like in that episode when he got gladas free, surely he wouldnt have pleaded with the devil .

This show is great, but sometimes Sam can frustrate me. If I was a Reaper, I would ask so many questions about the afterlife, heaven, hell, how do my powers work, etc.

Yeah but that would mean script writers would actually have to come up with witty answers to all those BIG questions. :D

True. Best leave it to Sock to come up with the answers. :woot:

I love Wise's Devil too - what'd be interesting is if they ever decided to have God turn up at some point, personified as a man much the same as they have the Devil. That could be funny.

Thing is - who's got enough charisma to be an equal to Wise?
