The Amazing Spider-Man Reboot composer?

Imo, Avenger's music wasn't that epic until we saw the avengers "assemble" in that street...such a powerful image made that theme behind it all more amazing.

I'm desperate for a good spidey score. The score in the last films was 'ok'. I want spidey to join Batman 89 and Superman the movie in terms of unique sounding main themes.

Yeah you and plenty of others keep saying that, but film music has changed drastically since '78' and '89'. Yeah I hope Horner delivers a great score, but I don't care if it's not in the same league as Williams' Superman and Elfman's Batman. I just hope it brings something new to the genre and captures what Webb and co. are trying to do with the character and his universe. And I liked Elfman's approach with his Spider-man scores. It was very cleverly written and done, imo. Can't wait to hear how Horner's approach will dfferentiate from Elfman's by comparison.

The best themes are hands down from the 70s and 80s.

The Godfather theme, Superman, Tim Burton's Batman, Robocop, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, Police Academy, Halloween, Star Trek, Star Wars

Fair play. We may not get the greatness of those scores, but I hope we get something, like you said, sounds and feels like yeah, this is spiderman.

But in terms of Elfmans score, I found it meh and uninspired. That's just me though.

Why's he crazy? To some, it's just a meh piece and very uninspired. Is it bad? No. But it's nothing special and does not scream spiderman.

Well I completely disagree. I will always think of that theme when I think of Spider-Man (unless Horner makes an even better, catchier theme).

Yah, I gotta agree with him on that one...Elfaman's theme sucks.

Elfman's on the other hand was glorious.

Elfman's theme is hardly his best work, or the most memorable superhero theme. I personally enjoyed it, but I can also understand why others wouldn't.

Elfman's theme was pretty good, but I think it was short of Spiderman. A Spiderman theme should be fast-paced as the 70s theme (and the Ramones version).

Horner have a style similar to Elfman's (although, I think it's more creative), but I don't think he's going to surprise us with a fast theme, probably it will be in the line of Elfman's.

No. Why does everyone think any piece of music used during anything having to do with this movie is from the score.

Because they are much superior composers. That being said, I'm wondering what JH wrote for ASM.

I wouldn't go as far as saying "superior"...Horner's have had some pretty big soundtracks under his belt.

I think Elfman and Horner are pretty much on the exact same level of talent, but Christopher Young isn't even in the same ballpark as the two of them.
