I would love Vulture as a main villain, especially if marvel doesn't want a sympathetic villain this time around. Plus, Vilture does more than just fly, he's an inventor and he has a lot of cool tech

Vulture as a main villain would be awesome, but from the looks of it Mysterio will probably be first, which is also awesome because he's really not sympathetic either.

It seems that Marvel would like to connect the spidey world into the Marvel world, and having Mysterio as the first villain makes sense.Mysterio frames spidey for trying to kill the President, bam the President signs the registration act which would connect to Civil War in Captain America.

Im not sure how Mysterio would work on live action, I don't think the general audience would find him interesting.

Maybe Marvel would connect the Vulture with the Falcon.Maybe Toomes invented the suit.

Is that because you yourself don't find him interesting? Not to be *****ey, but most of the people on here would disagree with you, and Mysterio's powers and abilities create numerous possibilities for the story. (And that's not just because he's my avvy lol)

I'm a fan of that theory! Maybe he invented numerous technologies for shield and the military before the suit, that'd be a cool twist on his origin

He can disappear, become invisible, use chemicals that dissolve spidey's webbing, gasses to knock someone out or to make them hulucinate, illusions to change the environment that there in,or to make himself look like anyone even dead people,he can make clones of himself so spidey doesn't know which one is real when he tries to punch him.

Wasn't there an episode in either the 90's siears or spectacular spider man where sm was fighting him and he had to use his spider sinces to know witch one was real or something?

Mysterio is an awesome villain and I'd love to see him on the big screen.

-Mysterio
-Scorpion
-Venom

Use one of the three and you have solid a great antagonist for the first film. Mysterio and Scorpion haven't been used yet and are pretty big villains. Especially Mysterio. Venom's story was never done properly and going with the Symbiote for the first film would be pretty bold.

I still stick by my using Shocker as the secondary antagonist with either Doc Ock or Green Goblin and the primary antagonist

I'm hoping and praying we don't see the Green Goblin any time soon.

I'd like to see someone like Vulture or Mysterio with Scorpion or Shocker as a secondary villain. Hell, I'd still like to see Kraven on the big screen.

And I'd also like to see Rhino again. This time instead of a robotic-suit I'd like to see him as more of a mutant-esque being due to experimentation. That just seems more interesting, imo.

Chameleon or Mysterio would be great and Sony haven't used these villains before as well.

I honestly agree, though I think the way to work Venom is to kinda use the cosmic Marvel movies to bring in the symbiote. That way, you wouldn't waste time establishing Spidey's world in his own solo film. You don't have to worry about coming up with a good reason why the symbiote exists. Just have him catch it in another film. That way, you can establish the symbiote, then, in his own film, establish why Spidey doesn't want it.

But Scorpion and Mysterio are two bad guys I'm really gunning for. Scorpion especially, if created as a weapon to destroy Spider-Man, can have a real existential crisis, or go out for revenge against Jameson--assuming he creates him--or even Smythe if they have Smythe invent his tech. Even better, if Norman Osborn recruits Scorpion later as a personal body guard or hired gun, kinda like the Thunderbolts, you can see a lot of potential there.

And Mysterio is Mysterio. He's just awesome.

Build up to GG. He's coming. There's no doubt they'll use Norman. But Doc Ock would be cool, especially if he's building up his own personal army. It's been long enough where we're due for another Doc Ock.

Still, I'd prefer if they built up to Doc Ock or GG, and not just introduce them immediately. Like, mention Octavius or show Oscorp and Norman. This is one thing I feel TASM got right...but kinda bungled along the way.

I actually think that Shocker should be a super-threatening villain. The amount of damage he can do to not only Spidey but the area around him is phenomenal. I find his costume to be somewhat sinister actually

Oh, I think he should do a ton of damage, and maybe appear sinister at first, but, as the film goes on, and Spidey just relentlessly teases this guy, he is played more for laughs at times, but not in a way where you don't take the guy seriously. Rather, I'd like it to be that you kinda want to see this guy win a little bit just because he's having such a hard time. I feel that Shocker should be kind of a sympathetic villain--not in that you hear is tragic backstory or anything, but rather that he's trying really hard to get some money, coming up with all these cool gadgets and plans, only to be taken down by some teenager in a costume.

I guess a good comparison would be those execs from Cabin in the Woods, where you know they're doing some pretty horrible things, but they're so entertaining along the way you kinda root for them, kinda? I don't know if I explained my point well enough...

I do find him interesting but most people here are comic book fans, that's like 1% of the audience of a movie. Im not sure if the GA would be interested in villain like that.

That could of been said with gotg but look how that turned out

BTW, if they ever use the proper Green Goblin look, I've been saying it for years: Use nano tech for the mask.j

I know I'm bad at comparisons but you do understand what I mean yes?

I understand your point but I don't agree with it. People like Spider-Man to FIGHT his villains, Mysterio isn't too much about fighting 'cause he prefers to confuse Spidey with his tricks. What Im saying is that the GA might find that pretty dull on film

I think that each movie shouldn't be building up to anything, each film should be a stand alone movie.I don't want another trilogy,I want twenty movies with twenty different stories, like James Bond has done.

I agree, Raimi did that pretty by telling self-contained stories with each movie and the cool thing about it was that the build up came naturally(Harry's storyline into a villain for example).
