Sequels Reboot.

Wolverine is not an anti-hero. He hasn't been an anti-hero in ages.

Hell, I could aruge that he's NEVER been an anti-hero. He's just a rough n' tough HERO.

I mean, Logan (in the comics) cares about his team members, his friends, and the people he's fighting to protect. He's not just out there fighting to fight. He's shown a willingness to self-sacrifice in the past too. He fights the good fight because he thinks he's actually bettering the world.

An anti-hero is quite different.
This is for a beginning movie like the first one that is how I've seen wolverine. cyclops is the perfect leader who cares about his team. But this all depends on your view of the characters so (shrug)

Well it was not about the height I just wanted him to be like Dirty Harry mixed with Snake Plisken. have that kind of this is jsut pissing me off attitude. Then be more savage with his killing. Also i woulda wanted the quote "lets go bub"

BINGO!!

Though I did like Hugh, he was definitely a toned down Logan.

sure is time to give the X-men the Incrdible Hulk treatment.

Give them costumes like in Spider-man and The Fantastic Four.

More Epic.

Singer has no imagination, and doesn't know comics and doesn't care about the fans, doesn't respect them either.

Time for a story that doesn't revolve around Magneto for three movies and some horrible dull watered down Phoenix story.

So much needs to be done with the real X-Men.

first movie, just the original X-men, then the 2nd, Wolverine, with feral hair and not a box on his head, with real mutton chops who isn't crying every two minutes. A mask and costume, the brown one, why? This is a comic book, these are Superheroes, you want realism, watch the news.

Colossus with an accent, Bobby with Iced up look for more than two seconds.

Mr. Sinister in 2, Apocalypse in 3.

Thank you! Finally someone agrees with me! You get my vote to direct the reboot!! :woot:

Like all wasted series with much potential, a reboot is inevitable and natural.

- Get a good director this time

- Shorter Wolvie with more attitude

- Make an X-Men film not Logan and his Amazing freinds

- Give them really cool costumes, doesn't need to be all bright and flashy, but doesn't need to be all black leather either

- Don't let Singer or Rattner get anywhere near this

- Some more super villains instead of an old frail Magneto(no disrespect to Ian) throwing cars around in each film. How about a different threat? No, a cure doesn't count, nor does a stupid machine that turns humans into mutants

- For goodness sakes, make Storm younger, more elegant, and give her a bit more to do unlike Singer did but without getting stupid like Rattner did

- Scott, Scott? Where was Cyclops in these films? I didn't see a leader All I saw was James Marsden playing this weak, lame, pathetic, bum

- Sex up Rogue. Get Anna P the F out.

- Everything else that would equal good

I agree but I think Hugh coulda done it if he hunched over more. Ya I agree with what you said.

I couldn't agree more, I may even for see another X-men movie before they come to the conclusion a reboot is nessecary, but hopefully we will get one

best case scenario Marvel makes a **** load off of its current properties and can buy back X-men from fox (and hopefully Fantastic Four too) cause fox does not know how to make a superhero movie, and on paper at least Iron Man and Incredible Hulk are looking badass

For one, no one would make a x-men movie without Wolverine, and I also don't see the need to exclusivly have the original 5 in the first one, however I do agree they should all be in it, and then have wolverine, rouge, storm, and maybe gambit-

side note: one thing I always thought would be cool is if the movie starts off with the original 5 are captured or something, and ProX is recruiting new X-men to save them or something, and that is the first act, maybe from sentinals or something

I agree realism works better with movies like Batman where few if any people actually have super powers, not with X-men

For goodness sake, make Storm younger???

*cough 4* :woot: Bryan Singer fudged it up..but Ratner..at least was an improvement..I always liked the number 4..

dude no offense but a lot of people believed 3 was a dissappointment because of Rattner...Singer did a much better job with character development than Ratner could do. He should've stuck with his Rush Hour movies...yes i agree singer screwed with x-men and xmen 2( but i still think X2 is the best of the trilogy) with the original story. But that was way back in 2000ish..i don't know the actual year one came out.
I think they should reboot. But for now...I want singer back..maybe rattner if he fricking puts nightcrawler back in!!

haha oops that was way back in this thread...oh yeah...well maybe that's the problem Marvel should be doing these movies all along...

if they reboot i'd take scott summers, jean, perhaps maybe scott's brother..who becomes havoc? (he's just like cyclops but his power is with his hands not his eyes.) Nightcrawler, Wolverine, and Beast...oh and iceman and rogue...and she can actually fly...same with storm if only they get her right.

and magneto is the classic villain that everyone knows so he stays.

Am I the only one who thought Famke J. was wrong for Jean? As pheonix in 3 she was great but she just didn't fit the part to me and she looked much older than James. And to who ever said that remark about 'you want realism watch the news' I completly agree. And RySmack alot of people thought the first two x-men were boring and liked the 3rd one best it all depends on who you ask, me I liked both 2 and 3 the same but hated 1.

gotta disagree, i think she was a good fit for jean, but i think they shoulda either cast a younger jean or an older scott because famke is older than james

i hated 3(too many plot holes and it was just a whole mess)
1 was ok(got a lil boring)
2 was by far the best

Where Did Cyke go for starters.

I gotta watch the movie again but I know there were more.

Just one minor addition: the new X-Men movie should also be able to terminate the Global Warming.

And I won't accept any less than 15 Oscars for it. Including best Animated Feature. :cmad:

The only director(s) I can see actually producing a true X-men comic book film would be the Wachoski Brothers, Alfonso Cuarón or maybe Joss Whedon, but what are the chances of that actually happening.

Like I said, I asked out of curiosity.. so I don't intend to argue with you but that's not a "plot hole"... I understand where you're coming from, though.

Funny you say that; I was thinking the same, Wachowskis and Cuaron. I like the tone of the Wachowskis films and their ability to weave a detailed story with screentime dedicated to multiple cast members--a necessity with theh X-men.

I like Cuaron's vision. I need to see more of his films.

I think Wachowski would either make a very faithful film or something of their own.

I've only ever really liked one Wachowski movie, The Matrix. I didn't care for the sequels too much (at least not the story telling)...

^^^

V for Vendetta was fantastic and that was a Wachowski project.

I'm talking about directors, and V for Vendetta was not directed by the Wachowskis. It was a graphic novel adapted by the Wachowskis, which is altogether different than adapting the gee-whiz dialogue and expansive history of the X-Men... that's not to say that they couldn't do a good job though.

At this point, there should be no reboot. That would be stupid. However, if they were to reboot, this is what I wanna see:

6 X-Men
-Professor X
-Jean Grey
-Cyclops
-Angel
-Iceman
-Beast (in his human form)
... all teenagers

5 members of the Brotherhood:
-Magneto
-Toad
-Mastermind
-Quicksilver
-Scarlet Witch
...and maybe throw Blob in there, too... since he was one of the first comic book villains ever... and to even out the teams

No Gambit. No Rogue. No Apocalypse. No Wolverine. No Storm. No 500 million muntants walking the earth.

My 2 cents. ...and F*** the Wachowski Brothers.

There should be a poll on this thread. I would vote YES for reboot.
