You know what else this made me realize? Joaquin Phoenix could have nailed all three of those characters at various points in his career. He's entering his Quint stage now.

Pretty bold, how dare you even suggest a remake!?
I'll go further and try one that'd setoff the it's woke alarm-bell outrage:

For the record, no! Not something I would ever want to see re-made.
Though the trio could certainly make for an interesting dramatic-fright-thriller, in the same spirit, maybe directed by Iñárritu.
