Sequels Recasting the X-Men for the MCU

I haven't seen any suggestions yet, but I just wanted to say that I'd love for Gillian Anderson to be Moira MacTaggert. I'm not quite sure if she can do a Scottish accent, but she's at least got experience with the British isles.

I think it's likely that except for maybe Xavier and/or Magneto the cast will be younger than in the past and even who some fans are suggesting (Ralph Fiennes as either is possible but diminishing). Jason Isaacs as Magneto would make sense but might be considered too much like Fassbender.

I can dig Matt Lanter as Cyclops and even Amanda Righetti as Jean. However they're more TV actors than movie actors. Don't know if Marvel will want them.

Not so keen on Fiennes as Professor X. And definitely not Jamie Bell as Wolverine. He even seemed too weedy to be Ben Grimm.

And no to Liam Hemsworth as Colossus. After having a comic accurate looking Colossus in Deadpool, why go back to the more primitive method of doing it like Singer? It should be mo-capped, in which case they don't need Liam Hemsworth. The Colossus they have in Deadpool is perfectly fine.

And I don't see them replacing Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool with Chris Wood of all people. They'll keep Reynolds.

I wouldn't cast Naomie Harris as Storm.

They should go for a Lupita Nyong'o type. Obviously not her, because she's already in Black Panther. But someone like her. Which black actresses are there who could fit that bill?

Also, I don't want to see Mystique again for a long time. Give her character a rest.

I hope we get a Brotherhood that includes Destiny, she could be visually amazing on screen.

Perhaps Gugu Mbatha Raw for Storm. I'd of said Bassett or Lupita but both are in Black Panther now so that's not going to happen.

Perhaps they can introduce Storm in Black Panther 2 that'd be amazing.

I personally hope that go the 30+ range for the X-Men and younger for Rogue and I'd like an actual teenager to play Kitty and bring in a youth element.

Definitely! I've been saying it for a long time but War has proven it beyond doubt. Anyone who has any objections please compare X3 Beast's look (who was played excellently by KG) with the apes in War.

Why make such and old cast? When picking a cast for a reboot of a series make sure they can do at least 7 years or more of the same character. these people are too old to do that.

BTW, one thing I would not do for this movie is give Charles Xavier a British accent. If they hire a British actor, he needs to be able to do some kind of American accent (even if not specifically a Westchester, NY one). The X-movies got Patrick Stewart and you don't turn down Patrick Stewart, but they should make it clear these aren't Marvel movies based on the Fox movies.
