Sequels Recasting the X-Men for the MCU

Why make such and old cast? When picking a cast for a reboot of a series make sure they can do at least 7 years or more of the same character. these people are too old to do that.

Why would they cast her when she's been so prominent as Peggy Carter both in the Cap films and in Agent Carter? This is X-Men in the MCU we're talking about.

And she doesn't strike me as Emma Frost at all. Or is it you just think her boobs were made for that role?

This is pretty hard. Feels like MCU has already cast almost every actor I like.

Professor X - Jason Isaacs. I tried to think of a more original choice but couldn't.

Cyclops - Jonathan Groff. Pretty much based on his work on Mindhunter. He played idealistic, heroic and slightly socially-awkward with a hint of a dark side really well.

Jean Grey - Evan Rachel Wood.

Storm - Condola Rashad. I really don't know enough young black actresses. I only recognized one of the ones p4poetic listed. I hope that says more about Hollywood than me. Anyway, I picked Rashad because I like her in Billions.

Beast - John Krasinski. He's a big, funny guy and a solid actor.

Wolverine - Oscar Isaac. Wouldn't necessarily been my first pick but Tom Hardy has already been suggested and Jon Bernthal is Punisher. So, I thought, Isaac is a talented actor with a decent look for the part. Why not give him another shot at the world of X-Men?

Nightcrawler - Eddie Redmayne. Of course, either Riz Ahmed or Rami Malek would also be great.

For Latino Wolverine i’d go with Edgar Ramirez instead of Isaac.

Storms height is not character important. Also Halle Berry is only 5'5". And of course HEELS lol her height is a non issue.

So can only men play multiple comic book characters but women cant ?

And no Its not the boobs(although they are fabulous) its the acting chops and ability to dominant men on film easily.

None of your examples are valid at all since they're all actors who played these roles in a different universe or at a different studio.

Chris Evans played Human Torch in another continuity. He was part of the Fox universe. He played Cap in the MCU. Hayley Atwell played Agent Peggy Carter in the MCU in 3 Captain America films, in the Avengers, Ant-Man and her own TV series.

The X-Men are in the MCU now. No longer at Fox. Hayley Atwell can't play Emma Frost.

Otherwise do you think Robert Downey Jr or Chris Evans can now play an X-Man?

And judging by your requirements for Emma Frost at the top of this page, it seems that you are only casting Atwell because of her big boobs. Even if she hadn't been Peggy Carter, she's not suitable for Frost at all.

I just finished Minhunter and I thought the exact same thing for Cyclops.

Storm's height is definitely important. She's a statuesque goddess.

I thought Halle was 5'7? Heels can make 5'5 look like 5'8. 5'2 is a little harder to work with I think.

I always like an older Storm she's quite a motherly and wise character in the comics and cartoon series. Shanola Hampton might be a nice fit.

If they go more urchin and street fighting for Storm then Vicky Jeudy would be awesome.

CGI is good enough now, there's no need to settle for human proportions, when you can attain comic-level proportions with CGI.

if they go full younger class, i think ansel elgrot is a great cyclops. but i have no idea what age range they'll go. the fox films have covered older and younger team members of the orig 5, it'll be interesting to see what marvel does
