    Happy Independence Day, Guest!

Sequels Recasting the X-Men for the MCU

Nick Hoult as Pyro?

Australian accent's not too far off from British accent, always wondered where that went with Fox.

Better Pyro than Beast.

I wouldn’t mind an Australian pyro though. There’s definitely enough australian actors in Hollywood!

I know! You know who I think would be great for a shapeshifter role or even a telepath role? Toni Colette from United States of Tara and Hereditary. She can really make you feel like she's another person from one moment to the next! I'd say she's better at transitioning from one personality to the next than mcavoy in split!

Oh, by the way she's australian.

Oh I love Toni, she’s such a talented actress. She should play veranke against Brie so it’s a United States of Tara reunion. Plus all skrulls are australian

^ i liked Sarah Gadon in the two episodes I managed to watch of Alias Grace. If they were to cast an older Emma Frost, however, I wonder what people would think of Jessica Lange. Jessica Lange alongside Ian Mckellen anyone? :p

she's perfect with Emma Frost's dialect, imo. Perfect for Emma Frost in Whedon's Astonishing Xmen

Oh my gosh Lange as Emma would be amazing. Imagine her saying this to the sentinels

Jeffrey Wright would actually be a great choice for Beast indeed. He has the voice for it first and foremost and based on his character in Westworld and Hunger Games I can definitely see him in the role.

I like the idea of Jeffrey Wright as Charles. Or Giancarlo Esposito.

Giancarlo would be interesting. That voice in your brain would be insane

Storm's the top black superhero of all time, so I think having Storm and Bishop as prominent black superheroes is enough. What they need in the movies is a Latino superhero. Did you guys know one of the biggest moviegoer population in the US is the Latin@ population?

I did know that, incidentally, having been following movie news and statistics. I want a Latino or a Latina superhero for sure, as well as black superheroes, and for god's sakes can we please have an LGBT superhero in a movie? Why is it taking so long? Valkyrie was awesome, but she's gone - for now. Northstar is gay, right? Or Iceman? Why is it so hard?
More diversity is a must in these movies. I'm looking forward to an awesome Storm in the MCU.

Yeah we definitely need to see sunspot. And Northstar would be amazing, I think he would be amazingly snarky and if they introduce him quickly he could score an invite to susan’s Hens night

is Valkyrie an LGBT superhero?
Yep in the mcu and the current exiles comic

I don't think general audiences caught that or at least I didn't!

No marvel chickened out and removed the scene which revealed or at least hinted at it. Tessa Thompson has talked about it a lot in interviews though

Yeah, rewatching Ragnarok knowing that Valkyrie is gay, makes her a much more interesting character to me. But we have to make sure Marvel doesn't just hint at these things anymore. I demand Iceman and/or Northstar to be in the Marvel X-Men - and I demand that they actually be gay, not just as a side-note after the fact. Is there a reason they're afraid of putting LGBT characters in their movies? I think I remember somebody (Feige?) saying that there were 2 LGBT characters in the current MCU - one we've met, and one we haven't met yet. I assume that means Valkyrie and...?
But seriously, 2? Just two, in the entire MCU? What the heck is that about?

I think the scene that hinted it, was the flashback to the Valkyrior being slaughtered by Hela: the one saving Valkyrie was her lover, going by their expressions.

A bit weak sauce, I agree.

When I saw that trailer with Hela and the Valkyries the first thing that came to mind was Claymore the manga but the action scenes with Hela were only half as good as I was expecting. I think they should have gone for something more on Claymore's level of creepy action scenes first and then worried about explaining Valkyrie's sexuality in a sequel once she's won us over (which she already kinda has).

X-Men is a great franchise to have an LGBT superhero because they're so inclusive to difference. I could see them pulling off Northstar someday. Not so sure about turning someone like Iceman gay like they tried in the comics. What about Angel?

It’s the xmen they should all be gay. Or at least LGBTIQ

Nah it was a different scene they cut that had a woman walking out of valkyrie’s tent or quarters or whatever. Really I’m sure something that tiny and ambiguous wouldn’t have caused the sky to fall in

Northstar, or Angel, or Iceman. Or all three. But it's time for this to happen. Are there any lesbian X-Women?

Shame they couldn't keep that in.

I think "couldn't" is the wrong word. "Wouldn't dare", really, is more likely.
Well I hope that isn't the reason. Good scenes that should be in films get cut for innocent reasons even though it looks senseless to fans (like the Wakandan charge featuring Hulk in IW and the Witch King vs Gandalf in ROTK), but who knows here.
