I like both of these fan cast

The Hype is convincing me on Steinfeld for Rogue, Millie Bobby Brown for Kitty and Saoirse Ronan for Jean. I also like Riz Ahmed for Nightcrawler and Craig for Magneto as @MilkmanDan suggests.

the mojoverse cast made me chuckle.

would it be too much to ask for a more classical or opera take on Dazzler?

I could see something reminiscent of the Fifth Element happening

Imagine the fifth element scene as Asteroid M : D

Also we need a mature X-Men team!!! Scarlet Johanson was 27 when the first film hit theaters. Hailee Stephens is 21 right now. If we wait 5-10 years for it, you'll probably have other actors rise to fame who you will think are perfect for it. Five years ago, I don't think anyone outside of Marvel would have thought of John Krasinski for a Marvel role (no offense) but now a lot of people like the idea of casting him and Emily Blunt in Fantastic Four.

In any case, with X-Men, your main team should be older and your younger cast should be the students, for example, the new mutants (Maisie Williams would be a perfect choice for student Wolfsbane)

Millie Bobby Brown and Craig aren't jewish as far as I can tell.

This is just mean.

ha, why's that? I think he's funny. He'd obviously need prosthetic makeup--I wasn't basing it solely on his weight, because he's certainly not Blob-size (who actually is?). But he could be a good fit for an MCU film.

Well, if that's a priority for you, I suppose one could always replace Craig with Jason Isaacs. Even if Isaacs as a villain is a pretty obvious suggestion at this point. Finding a substitute for Millie Bobby Brown is harder. I don't know enough child actors in her age group, and I think Kitty should be clearly younger than the rest. Although if you're willing to go a bit older, how would you feel about Odeya Rush?

I think Jean Grey will be either Emma Stone or Saoirse Ronan depending on the age bracket they are going for.

Anyone think Disney may make up their own X-men characters? May be better to distinguish themselves from Fox.
I wish there was a way fans could somehow contribute to Disney reboot of the X-men.

Maybe background characters. But there’s so many characters fans are dying to see, it would be silly to make more than fans are specifically requesting.

At least disney can dump that “no new characters in the xmen comic books” rule. You never know, there might be an opportunity for new fan favourites there

Thankfully. After all these years of conflict between the studios, this could be a golden era for X-Men related media now that there is no reason to hold back and Disney see the gains directly.

There won't be much (any) complaining from me if either of those get cast.

Agreed I’m so waiting for a new animated series

Since a few of these were suggested already, I'm working on an X-Men cast consisting of nothing but legacy kids (i.e. actors whose parents were also actors). Most of these aren't serious contenders, I'm just having fun.

Scott Eastwood as Scott Summers/Cyclops
Lilly Collins as Jean Grey/Phoenix
Wyatt Russell as Logan/Wolverine
Olivia Washington as Ororo Munroe/Storm
Zoey Deutsch as Marie D'ancanto/Rogue
Patrick Schwarzenegger as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus

That's it so far.
