Resident Evil CGI movie in the works

I hope this does for Resident Evil what Advent Children did for Final Fantasy.

I also hope it has the you know characters from the game and the big ass monsters the movies didn't have the guts or money to do.

Also get the voices from RE4 to reprise their roles. Wesker was never more badass than he was in RE4. He looks like a freaking wussy in that Extinction garbage.

I don't like that it just looks like a FMV sequence from a game. I thought they'd put more effort into it, like Beowulf. Unless is goes straight to DVD, like it says on the site.

It does look like a long FMV from RE4. I'm not saying its a bad thing either though. I'll be picking this up when it comes out

I don't know if I can get excited about this. I supported the idea of a CGI Movie before, but who says that this is going to be any better than the realife movies? We're talking here about the people who okayed 3 disappointing Movie scripts.

True. I have seen no evidence anywhere that using CGI instead of real actors makes movies better.

However, the fact that they're going the CGI route with this movie does give me a little hope that maybe they are trying to keep it closer to the games.

Anyways, the trailer looks cool. Looks very interesting. The CGI looks fine for a straight to DVD release.

Oy. I don't think I've ever been more dissapointed in my life than when everything in the first 4 games, books, comics, and all other forms of media were building towards a final showdown with Umbrella just to have them completely skip and ignore the entire thing with RE4. Bla bla, I know the gameplay was much better than any of the previous games, but I'm never going to forgive that blatant cop out of a "storyline." There was barely any story as it was, and none of it had jack **** to do with any of the previous games :-P
