I think you're kind of missing the point. It's good you like games that are insanely difficult, but you are in the minority with that. By making it that difficult, they are alienating A LOT of casual gamers, so unless Insomniac's market plan is for Lizard to buy 1 million copies of the game, they would be making a mistake to have that hard of a normal difficulty.

Now if they have a hard mode that is that hard or harder, then that is fine, people that want the game to be that challenged by the game can then.

Either way, I bet this is a moot point seeing as how I highly doubt the game's normal difficulty is gonna be that hard.

No I knew what THWIP meant, and yes I mean for some people the game would probably be extremely difficult and I understand that yes that would make people want to stop playing it but come on. This game if it’s really difficult isn't that fun? I mean it’s better than running and gunning and shooting through the whole game in a mere 5 hours.

You'll actually die and you'll have to actually fight rather than a simple play through. I just like challenging games and I know that they aren't making this game solely for me, but come on challenging games are always fun.

They make you frustrated and its makes you feel good when you accomplish an impossible task. I'm sorry you guys don't like hard games and that you turn them off when you've tried 20 times and still can't beat it.

To me that’s fun, to have an obstacle right in-front of you and not being able to overcome it but when you do you feel on top of the world. I like that feeling.

Maybe they will change this who knows? I'll I know is that when you've beaten the game on normal mode you can replay the game on hard mode and see new enemies you didn't get to in normal mode which I thought was cool.

I get what you're saying, but for me, the difficulty of a game is only part of the fun. Sometimes all I want to know is the story, and making a game damn hard overshadows that aspect of it. Usually on most games, I play through the first time on normal not expecting something ridiculously hard and just playing through to learn the story. Once I've beaten it like that, then I do the harder modes for the challenge. I do this with almost every game, from FPS, to fighting games. Hell even when I'm playing rpgs, I usually just go through the main storyline and leave most side quests like ultimate weapons and uber bosses for the second playthrough.
