They had some constructive criticism but over rall its a great impression and they seem to really really dig it. However its not the 2nd coming of Christ But the second one might be

Although the game's unlikely to wow you in terms of stunning photorealism, it's hard not to be impressed by the slightly exaggerated visuals developer Insomniac has opted for.

That sucks. The thing that interested me the most about this game was the realistic visuals. Sad to hear it's cartoony looking...

Looking at the screenshots it really doesn't look that exaggerated. I think that writer just doesn't know what he's talking about. The art design is gritty and realistic. The models are realistically proportioned. It really doesn't look that different from CoD. It's just that there are aliens in it.

Everything else looks good though. The weapons look fun to mess around with. It will be interesting coming up with new ways to kill people in MP.

It's sad that they're basically saying it's nothing new though. Way to put a damper on things.

Overall, the still gave it a glowing preview. They said it wasn't particularly innovative, but did everything it did very well.

OH MY GOD, Japan got to review the game and they gave it a 8.25 and I know its not amazing but that is for a Japenese review. They gave it a 9 8 8 8 8 so it got a 33/40 while Halo 2 and Halo got a 34/40. So you know that this must mean Resistance: Fall of Man is awesome!

Lizzy, I'm not trying to know down Resistance.
But you can't compare scores from a Ps3 FPS released now and an Xbox FPS released 6 years ago.

It's still a good score though.

When I do decide to get a Ps3 (couple of years from now) this game will be one of the first I get, along with Motorstorm, DMC4, Heavenly Sword and MGS4.

^Way to put me down Gammy Nha just kidding, yeah I know I can't compare them and that its unfair but everyone looks at Halo as being the father of all amazing FPS. And I thought that if I compared it to that and how awesome Halo is and how it got that score and then Resistance got almost the same score it would change people's minds.

Thats all, i'm pretty happy with this score seeing how its from Japan and not many people over there are crazy about FPS.They like racing games, and I guess thats why Ridge Racer 7 got a 38/40.

It's not that they hate FPS.
The problem is that they like crappy Ridge Racer so much, and IMO that totally kills any credibility they might have had.

Doesn't it? Ridge Racer has always been a BORING racing game, I see the Ps3 version being no different

Ridge Racer is fun, but a near perfect mark seems too generous. I'd expect low thirties at best. That said, Famistu is a well respected magazine. Think I'll pop a thread up with the scores.
