Because it actually has characters that have somethind different on them as compared to a year old game and is really indicative of the "POWER OF THE PS3"!

You'll say Gears of War has way better graphics than Resistance and I’ll say dude Gears has been in the making for two years now, but you'll just brush that off you shoulders and be like I didn't hear that, because it’s an argument that opposes yours very formidably.

But when I say Resistance has more amazing character models that Call of Duty 2 you have to pull out, well Resistance is a year old game. :

Also I was just making the statement of it being a nice touch, but no everyone has to make a F**KING argument about it. Screw this thread, its pretty pathetic when the creator hates his own thread.

All this thread is are arguments and me having to defend this game. Its turned out that all of the haters come here and never say anything nice about it, all it consists of is negativity and rude comments, harsh, destroys friendships on these boards…Its like we are fighting a war, every time I come here it hasn’t changed. I thought it was going to but no this whole lighting thing came up and then I was just pointing something out that I thought was cool and nope everyone has to squash it, its like whack a mole, don’t let a good comment through.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Resistance doesn't look as good as Gears of War and Insomniac have no else to blame for that but themselves. Way to release a game before it reaches it's full potential and actually looks respectable enough alongside the competition. There is no excuse in that.

Yes, we don't have to like each other, but nothing is more juvenile than hurling insults at each other simply because of disagreements in a freakin' videogame discussion. As for the "blowing steam" comment, if negative remarks about your favorite game seems to bother you so much that you take it personally, then it's a very good sign that it's high time to grow up and get a thicker skin.

And since you with your "higher level of knowledge" seem to endorse such childish reactionary statements, I take it you agree with them, hm?

Oh and for the record, I love Half-Life 2 and Halo with a passion, but WhatsHisFace said Half-Life 2 sucked while Gammy never spares a breath to crap on Halo. You don't see me declaring internet jihad on those two posters by getting personal with mindless insults.

Resistance won't be a Halo beater, and I think people have stopped pitching that tag for every first person shooter that appears on a Sony console.

I do however thing it will turn out to be a great game. I expect reviews in the 8/9 area.

Halo bores me to death. Never played it online but have played multplayer with another person as well as alone. Hated that game. I also cannot stand RPG games but loved SOCOM and a few of the Medal of Honor games.

We all have different tastes in everything. Nobody should be called names or talked **** about because of their difference of opinion.

i wish you could change the main characters nationality. it's like being one lone american in england turning the tide of the battle. one lone person of any nationality can do the same. altho it would change the script alot. perhaps other games in the series will have different lead characters. that's if it's a success. like GTA.

in that case they can revisit the same places in different time periods. reusing all these assets they created in a different mixture. saving costs on asset creation in the long run. and improving the engine as the game goes along. the artists can move on to creating all new assets. it's the only way to actually improve games really, and get rich doing it. it creates major franchises aswell.

Actually I like to think i'm friends with everyone, I like everyone on these boards no matter how harsh some of their comments are I don't care, I like to think I'm all of you're guy's friend even though we might have some disagreements but what friendship doesn't. Not everyone has the same opinion and people should excersise it.

I appologize Fenrir for being rude, its just it came off that you were attacking me for liking the whole back pack thing and were calling me out on it. I just thought it was cool the fact that Resistance did something like that.

I just also didn't like how you took that cool thing about Resistance and made the comment of, well you shouldn't compare a launch title a year ago to Resistance. With that said why do you compare a second generation title to a launch title, I just don't see your justification.

However the picture with the soldiers in the cathedral, that was taken a while ago, it was a demo so I'm expecting everything would be rendered maybe the same way, or maybe Insomniac knows that in real life sometimes one inspires someone else to pack their bags the same way, for maybe easy access and what not.

Personally I think attacking this game is just stupid, its pathetic and many people are ignorant, including myself. We all like diffrent games and always want our games to be the best and its hard to take critiscism, that will make our game way better.

I think though however its not fair to judge a game because we haven't played it for one, we don't know what the final product is.

Saying Resistance will flop is almost as stupid as calling it the Halo killer. Many people like diffrent things and not everyone is going to like this game. I'm going to accept that peopel won't like the game, but I just wish they would give the game a chance rather than coming in here making fun of me for liking the game and having a high expectation for it.

With that said....I guess we'll just see what the future brings.

Its not one lone american. You're with the British Resistance and everything. You have allies and Rachel Parker. You were dropped in with a 1,000 other U.S. buds but when you land in the begining they all just get slaughtered by the Chimera. Its going to be amazing.

if i've ever hurled an insult first it was a mistake and i apologize. we all make mistakes it's just only some of us admit to them. which means that no one knows you've learnt from them.

i take it personally, seeing hard work insulted. it's symptomatic of jealousy, or denial. both aren't good for anyone.
