Comics Retcon one thing about your favorite character

I would definetly definetly retcon or get rid of all together Beast's transformation into an annoying cat monster. I loved beast best when he was a big blue ape like character. Now he's a cat???? WTF Marvel. Oh and I would also bring back Sabretooth somehow. Not happy with his death. Lame

well Wolverine has already fought a clone of his in X-Force so you don't have to retcon his death as long as Sinister keeps cloning him.

True, that's kind of annoying though. Hey someone died OMG, don't worry Sinister keeps a copy of everybody in his basement. I had a feeling that if Sabretooth comes back (which he probly will with the Wolvie film coming out) it'll be a clone or something, or maybe Sinister finds a way to put Sabes back together...... that is if Mr. Sinister returns in all his former glory.

I would Retcon Jean's phoenix powers resurfacing in the early 2000's. What was so wrong with having Jean Grey for the past decade or so? I Had no problem with Scott/Emma's affair but just as Jean found out....she dies an couple issues later. i wanted to see that drama play out. It would've been VERY interesting to see Scott/Emma with Jean still alive. That opens up an huge bunch of story options.

I'd also fix Rogue. By letter her absorb so many other people's powers and then losing them and then getting them back and her losing the Ms. Marvel powers(which I miss) and the on/off again with Gambit, it's all just too much. I want Rogue circa about 1993. I like the early stuff with her and Gambit but I'd say after Legion Quest/Age of Apocalypse, it all went downhill.

thats bc really there was nowhere else to go. The natural endpoint for most couples is marriage and heck those 2 couldnt even get to first base! They drew out the not being able to touch for years and when they finally did kiss, there really wasnt anywhere else for their relationship to go bc the writers were never willing to make any progress with Rogue, so their relationship became a never ending cycle over whining, complaining, breaking up, making up and then back to the beginning. 18 years later, who cares? Its beyond time for Marvel to just end these two once and for good regardless of if Rogue ever gets control of her powers or not. They are played out

+ Marvel hates Marriage and happy endings for couples.

and for most couples that dont get married or have a happy ending, they break up and move on. Problem with Gambit/Rogue is that they keep breaking up, yet never move on.

he is determined to plant his seed in that woman dammit...then move on..

Jeez... There're so many retcons I'd like.

To stick to the theme, Number 1 would be Beast's cat mutation as he's my almost favourite character (Iceman being favourite but as screwed as he's been, Cat Hank is worse).

But others? Gambit becoming Death, Colossus being resurrected by the excuse of 'alien tech', Quentin Quire becoming a white hot room member, Lorna going nuts, Lorna losing her powers, Rogue being considered leadership material, Mystique doing anything reasoned by loving Rogue, Warren losing his metal wngs (at least they had decent offensive capabilities), the school becoming a public school, cerebro becoming cerebra, the dangeroom becoming sentient, the entire Kurt/Chuck Austen run, Iceman 'temporarily' losing his powers cos he though he wanted to, the leather uniforms, Xorn.

Okay, so most of Morrison's run and all of Austen's.

Replace 616 Juggernaut with Ultimate Juggernaut

Sabretooth
He's Dog

write wolverine as he should be a living weapon, trained in most forms of all the worlds and governments fighting techniques and espinoge, instead of the usual "my healing factor can take it" fighting style he is written with now.

The Wolverine thing though, I think it was best explained in (can't believe this is my source) the Silver Samurai episode of Wolverine and the X-Men. He's been a brawler for so long now that he's lost a lot of the discipline and training mentality of his time with the government and in Japan.
