The key element of Han's development in ROTJ is that he was finally "all in" with the RA. He was money motivated until the end of ANH. He was friends with Luke and enamored with Leia in ESB, but he was still going to leave. In ROTJ, he began a RA leader, not just a guy shared a distaste for the empire.
Even before the PT, I felt ROTJ was the best of the OT.
Interesting assertion, never thought about it that way before.Something I noticed in Jedi:Luke tells the Emperor "Your overconfidence is your weakness." to which the Emperor replies "Your faith in your friends is yours".But actually....wasn't the reverse true in both cases?
Luke was so overconfident,he didn't even seem to allow for the possibility that Vader would in fact turn him over to the Emperor.Needless to say, throwing away his lightsaber in front of the Emperor was also overconfident.
Palpatine's faith in Vader (whom he calls "My friend") was fairly extreme, since he thought he could torture his son to death right in front of him without Vader batting an eye.One could make the case his faith in his Empire could fall in that category .
Wow, those poster/wallpapers are so cool!! Too bad that the RotJ one has slave Leia front and center, or else I'd save all three. That stupid stupid costume has always been one of my least favorite things about RotJ, besides the fact that Han wasn't leading the DS II space attack.
It would have been cool if the film was balsy enough to kill off Luke, kind of in Return of the King esque-manor. When Luke takes off Vaders mask and theres the whole emotional moment have Luke realize he's never going to be able to purge the darkside from himself, and dies on the Death Star with his father. It would give more purpose to revealing Leia as Lukes sister and hinting at her use of the force. Then at the end, durring the celebration have Leia look over and see the ghosts, with Luke and Anakin appearing together, allowing for a brand new era for the force beginning with Leia who is neither Light nor Dark.
I do seem to recall having some sort of original Ewok coffee mugs or something... I wonder where those got to... I had forgotten about them until now.
This is stuff I still have now:
