The Amazing Spider-Man Rhys Ifans Cast as The Lizard

So, he's naked in the transformation. He'll probably acquire a lab coat later on again then.

I'm afraid I was a full-on Organic Hater. I joined a forum before SHH back in early 2000 that was actually called noorganicwebshooters.com

But I obviously learned to live with the organics in the Raimi movies. Just like I learned to live with Captain America not punching any real Nazis in the new movie. :oldrazz:

Never understood the hate for the organic shooters. I mean to me it does make sense. On the one hand he acquires the proportional abilities of a spider such as speed and wall crawling, yet can't spin web. Why does he get one set of powers and not the other?

After seeing the photos and hearing discriptions, I really don't think I have a single complaint about this movie at the moment.

Oh no.....*Flashing back to 2000*

1. Because spiders spin webs from spinnerets on their abdomens. Spidey shoots webs at high speeds from his wrists, not very much like a real spider.

2. Because the comics (as of the year 2000) had only ever shown Spidey with mech webshooters. Tradition!

3. Mech webshooters showcase Peter's true scientific genius.

That was the basic pro-mech argument in a nutshell a decade ago.

That last one is the reason I'm glad we are getting organics, from OSCORP or not.

I'm glad that they also show him working on them apparently. Raimi's Peter was all talk and no show. Yeah, he wrote papers, knew a bunch of stuff, but you never really saw him use his genius.

Oh? Can we get in trouble? I thought someone would tell me if that were the case.

I don't think you'd get in trouble, because its simply a link to another website and you didn't post the pics yourself.

But Sony watches this site more closely than most, and if they kick up a fuss, the links to that French site might just get deleted.

Ah right, hard to argue with that, I stand corrected. :o

Well, this is still up for debate, right? On one hand we have the scene of Pete pulling a web strand out of his spider-bite, but we also have pics of actual mech shooters. So is it official that it's a combination of organic webs coming from Pete's body, but getting collected and fired out his wrists by mechanical shooters?

I had assumed the confirmation of mech shooters in the Entertainment Weekly pics meant synthetic webbing.

I doubt he'd care about a proper dress code after becoming a full on Lizard.
It depends on what they're going for in characterization. Connors may want to keep some semblance of his humanity intact, or a memory of it intact by wearing clothes. He really only wanted to repair his arm, or at least it seems that way, not to turn into a monster, so unless they go pure evil with him, I'd think he'd want to hold on to that small string. That's if they go for the earliest incarnation though. They might be going for the Jeykll and Hyde style Lizard. Who knows. He may want to help himself as Connors but want to do only evil as the Lizard, and have the ability to switch between physical forms or merely personalities. Hard to say what they're going for.

i honestly don't care how ppl try to argue it. i don't see a major issue with the organic webshooters. i think it was kinda cool. yes i prefer mechanical but damn ppl ***** way to much about it.

wait...someones got a pic of the lizard?
man...work has drained me from posting on here :(

Lets just leave this at:

Organics are good their reasons, and mechanical are good for theirs.

EVERYONE WINS!
