Blas, I got the Jason Bourne collection yesterday!

Me three!
Actually, I got it on Tuesday, along with the Hot Fuzz 3-disc Collector's Edition :O

Too bad they didn't include the Doug Liman commentary from the 1st. release of The Bourne Identity, which is weird, cause the BI disc from "The Bourne Files" had all the extras from the Explosive Edition AND the commentary from the 1st. release

It's cool, I'll just get the 1st. release (it's like 5 bucks) and put the disc in a little envelope inside the BI case :)

Sounds like a good plan. I have yet to sift through all of the special features.

The only times I really read game manuals were during the installations I had to wait through.

I always give them a good skim, though.

Oh btw, I almost exclusively read the manuals when I'm pooping.
And as soon as I get Internet on my apartment, I'll be poosting once again.

The last manual I read was for Oblivion. I told myself, "Never again" after slogging through that beast.

I steal 99% of my games, so I don't get a chance to look at manuals.

It's mush easier to learn TES games by just playing them and learning little-by-little from quests. Manuals are just too jargony at the start.

Like I said, Assassin's Creed deserves a nom on the sole merit that there is nothing quite like it on any console. Really, I see you raving on and on about Uncharted but fact of the matter is that the platforming, animation, attention to detail and massive scope of Assassin's Creed puts Uncharted to shame. Not to mention at the heart of the game is deep, complex story which ends very much on the notes of one of my favorite films, Memento, in that the plot ends but the puzzle is left up to the audience to solve. Of course, like you said repetitiveness does drag the game down a bit, but the feeling of pulling of a successful assassination on the basis of the hard investigation you did prior and disappearing into the crowd within seconds is unmatchable. The game encourages you to be observant, forbearing and strike with precision - then again you can finish your objective the other way as well but it's not the game's fault that you chose the path that is least fun and yields far lesser satisfaction. Of course, there is also the point that some people are just too inclined to simply highlight the shortcomings of the game instead of also appreciating what it absolutely nails.

I've seen that a lot of today's ADD generation of gamers simply don't have the brains or the patience to appreciate the gem that is Assassin's Creed. The fact that it polarized so many reviewers alone is proof of that. And when you take into account Penny Arcade's post-release mumblings about the game's reviews, it's not hard to understand a few of the reasons why it was given shorthanded scores by some. I'm sure many of us have heard the phrase "thinking man's shooter/platformer/RPG/whatever" quite a number of times before but Assassin's Creed is the game that has taken the expression to a whole new level. That is saying a lot since it was released only mere months after Bioshock which also reaped similar kinds of praises.
You know Im gonna have to disagree with this. The animation and attention to detail is better in Uncharted. I prefer the story in Uncharted. The gameplay (the most important factor) is without a doubt better in Uncharted. That game is solid from beginning to end. AC is pretty much the same thing over and over again. After the 2nd assasination it becomes blatantly obvious that this trend is going to continue and it doesnt become anymore fun basically repeating hte same task. The investigations arent hard; like I said, its all the same in every city. The gameplay is pretty simplistic as well and not that challenging. Ive never said AC is a bad game and I do think its alright, but for me, it doesnt live up to its hype. And this is from someone that was anticipating this game and really looking forward to it all year long. Its not as great as I thought it would be and I question the credibility of the reviewers who gave it a perfect. Its definetly no 10/10 game

Of course, considering you played it on the P.O.S. 3
Of course and thats a reason why it left a bad impression on me. Apparently the issue with the glitch had to do with the firmware update 2.0 which was released right after AC was released. Not really Ubisoft or Sony's fault but its a moot point now since it was fixxed with a recent patch. I probably shouldnt have bought it when it first came out since I knew I wouldnt have had time to play it anyway. Right now Im playing it to beat it, rather than actually enjoying it. Im gonna get rid of it as soon as I do complete it. First PS3 game Ive own that Ive actually considered Ebaying

Blas, when I log onto this place on my PSP, your name is written in Japanese or something, but on my computer, I only see squares. Is it meant to be in Japanese but my computer's too rubbish to see it?

Yes. You need to install a language pack for your PC.

Its embarrasing that my PSP has better internet than my computer.

It's embarrassing that I have to click links 50 times for my browser to function :(
