Seeing him grow into Nightwing could have been pretty great (as long as Snyder didn't handle it).

snyder's dick grayson robin : " HOLY HOMICIDAL URGES AND RAAAAGE , BATMAN!!! " ( blows criminals away with a bird shaped gun )

Or uses that axe weapon to pull a Henry VIII on some poor bastard :hehe:

Well im glad they finally confirmed Jason todd is the dead robin.

Yes, it's time get Robin back on the big screen. For the upcoming solo Batman film,
I'd like to see Jason Todd as Robin. General audiences are already familiar with Dick
Grayson as Robin, but not many understand the depth of Jason Todd as Robin.

Also, I feel like that would make for a stunning story; especially with the confirmation
that Jason Todd is the dead Robin in this universe, it would make sense to explore that.

Jason todd is dead already. If we see him, then hes gonna be red hood. We need nightwing and tim drake.

Ugh Damien. Please no.

Jason Todd is OK but nothing special. The Red Hood will bore me to tears and give Marvel purists fuel "they're ripping off Cap going after Winter Soldier! They're ripping off Daredevil goin after Punisher!"

Jason is better for the story if he stays dead. Especially with Superman coming back to life. I don't need to see another character do that in the DCEU.

Just give the people a early 20's Dick Grayson, as Nightwing. I would love to see Dick show up in the Batman film, cussing out Bruce. His reason for leaving Bruce behind was because of his lunatic behaviour after Jason's death. Then have them reunite by the end of the film where Nightwing helps Batman defeat some rogues. Throughout the film Bruce is trying to convince Dick that he has changed but Dick feels like there's no excuse, that Bruce went against everything he taught Dick in the first place. They help each other in the end.

I believe that's the best way to approach this. As for Tim Drake, I feel like multiple Robins gets too confusing. It's unnecessary, especially since John Blake was the closest thing we'll get to a Tim Drake introduction.

Jason and Dick are essentially confirmed already. I see them skipping over Tim and introducing Damian.

Who knows if we'll get Red Hood, but i would guess we will.

My prediction

Dick
Jason
Damian
Barbara

IDK about you guys but I don't want to see Damien Wayne.

Yeah I think that would just be too much going on. An introduction of Tim Drake could be cool, if handled well, but not necessary. I definitely want to see Dick Grayson as Nightwing, hopefully with some flashbacks of him fighting crime as Robin.

I think Nightwing has potential to be a fan favorite in the films, he's a really likable character in the books.

Hell, Black Mirror plays out like a good movie, but I don't see them adapting that for the big screen. If only they would connect some series to the Universe, lie DareDevil. Nightwing could make a great series. I like the idea of Bruce kind of distancing himself from Grayson after Jason Todd's death, and he is now a vigilante in Bludhaven. Has potential for a good emotional father figure story arc that would play well into Bruce's issues with his own parents.

Agree that Red Hood might not make for the best big screen film, due to similarities with Winter Soldier, and also there are just so many great stories they could tell, and everybody would already know who Red Hood is. Probably best Jason Todd stays dead. Unless it was really well written.

I think if they're going to do a Robin, they should do his origin more or less. Maybe do a "prequel" where Bruce Wayne has a young, nearly teenage Dick Grayson living with him. There could be a flashback that shows how Bruce rescues a younger Grayson from the loss of his parents and one of the focuses could be how Bruce tries hiding his identity from his metaphoric son who lives with him. There is a great story to be told paralleling Bruce's childhood with Dick's. Then, when Batman's identity is made known to Dick, Dick seems to be interested in following in Bruce's footsteps, looking for revenge and a thirst for violence. Bruce tries to keep Dick away from that, but Dick somehow gets his hands on a Robin suit. It would cool to have Robin save Batman, but in no way should he out there fighting and beating anyone up really. Just a nice little scene where he rescues Batman, but then Batman has to protect him for the rest of the movie. Finally, show that Dick isn't like Bruce and when push comes to shove, he is not as dark as Batman, maybe even have him forgive his parents' killer in the end (assuming that he'd be a minor character at least).

I think there's potential with Robin, in any event.

Damian would be great as Robin in a second Batman movie, I love his attitude towards his father. I hope they set him up somewhat in this Batman solo by Batman sleeping with Talia.

Damian makes a lot sense, since he's enhanced with his cyborg spine and all. They can sell a young kid as a kick-ass Robin better that way.

Damien would be great if he's never used in a film, ever.

I disagree. You aren't very fond of any Robin besides Dick are you? Dick is the best, but all the Robins have their place.

Damian is great because with him, you get to delve into Ra's and Talia.

I want to see those two done right in this new universe

I like the idea of Damian because he's his real son, that has a completely different dinamic than taking in another orphan.

I started reading Batman around the introduction of Tim Drake with a Lonely Play of Dying. So I have a soft spot for Drake aswell, but Damian is very different. i like that he's not so obedient and that he is rebbelious against his father.

I started reading comics around the time Tim Drake was introduced as well and I always loved him.

What sets Tim apart from the other robins is that he is a detective first and a fighter second. He's not even a very good fighter especially compared to the other Robins, but his detective skills match or succeed even Batman

That's why I figured Tim Drake would be better for a serial and Damian (who's more fighter) for a one or twice time movie appearance. To introduce Tim properly and to do him justice character wise, one movie wouldn't do him Justice. With Damian that's different. He his son, who came from TLOS that alone is enough reason for Bruce to take him in.

Hell; Tim's "Obeah" man story would make for a great Robin movie alone.

Tim definitely seems tailor made for a TV show style of storytelling, while Damian is more the blockbuster character. Though, personally, I'd probably try and avoid having Damian act as Affleck's Robin; establish his character and internal conflict with Affleck, but if he plays Robin, it should be to Dick's Batman.

Though I'll admit I could easily see either Tim or Damian playing a strong role in a Batman film featuring both Noghtwing and Red Hood.

No Robin, please. Dead Robin is the best Robin.

I think you can delve into Ras and Talia without him.

I like Tim Drake and Dick Grayson in small doses. Mostly their origins and then when Dick is an adult and moved on from "Robin". So i've never really been a fan of seeing Robin in all his glory. I wouldn't mind his origin in live-action, but made with more maturity in the 21st century. Only because it would feel fresh by the time it happens. But only as a one and done. I just never cared for seeing Batman with a kid sidekick.

I seriously doubt they will touch Damien in this universe.

Yeah. Batman walking around with a teenager is lame, dumb and ruins the mystique of the character. Most people outside the fanbase can easily understand this. That's why most Batman directors, writters and even actors were never too eager to get Robin on screen, despite the character being so important in the comic world.

I honestly think we're going to get 4 members of the Batfamily

Dick (currently Nightwing)
Jason (will be back as Red Hood)
Barbara (Oracle)
Then down the line we will get Damian as Robin

I always pick Dick Grayson in polls like this, he's just my favorite. Definitely needs a different outfit though.
