Alright, I think we're getting close enough to the release of Rock Band that it deserves it's own thread. I myself am getting the game as a partial Christmas present, and already have it pre-ordered and paid for in full. December 25th can't come soon enough, considering even waiting for the 20th of November would be agony for me! I am so pumped I can feel it!

so how does the 10 fret thing work with the guitar

The guitar controllers have an extra set of fret buttons closer to the strum paddle so that during solos, you can use them to really simulate the feel of shredding licks. It doesn't exactly add to gameplay, but it further immerses you and helps you feel more like a real rock star.

Rock Band/Guitar Hero are only fun if you don't actually play said instruments. I don't know about the guitar so much, cause I don't play, but my brother hates it with a passion. The drums though? They're absolutely terrible.

I play guitar and sing in a band. I still love this game, and love Guitar Hero. Try talking about something you know.

I'm calling BS. I play guitar, have for over ten years, and I love GH and what I've played of Rock Band. My roommates who play bass and drums are excited as hell over Rock Band, especially the drummer.

Thats the excuse that people use when they cant play either guitar hero or guitar in real life. I have a friend who I have tried teaching guitar to, but he can never get past any power chords. He hates guitar hero because he is horrible at it as well.

Also, how does the drum pedal work. They dont have it in the demos, and I have no idea how it will look in game.

The drum pedal is the thing with the orange line through it. Not sure what kind of beats you have to hit with it in comparison to the sticks.

No, I know that. Im looking at screenshots to see how it looks on screen, but its nowhere to be found.

EDIT: Is it the yellow line going thru the squares for the drums?
