The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Rotten Tomatoes score? - Part 4

Yes. This was the worst Spider-Man movie made to date and one of the worst superhero movies ever made. The ONLY positives this film has received are Andrew/Emma and some cgi. That is sad.
Fifth-ed

Sixthed!

So I was dragged to Godzilla the other night... And after seeing 20% difference between TASM2 and Godzilla's RT score I gotta say(again) critics were too harsh on the former *shaking my damn head* Even my own complaints like both Spider-man and Godzilla having too little screen time and human drama having too much of it are there.

Yeah I thought TASM2 probably deserved around a 75% but again it's the critics, if they don't like it they don't like it

The audience rating has dropped to 72%

It's not going to be a quick descent but I expect the audience rating to end up in the 60's.

I can't even imagine how low it will be in another decade.

The ratings for this movie are looking pretty rashy. The RT score is garbage and the IMDB is decent, but it will surely go down to late 6's soon.

I'm pretty butt hurt. I wanted this film to be great after the first one was just "good" 7/10. Too much rushing to the sinister six cake, not enough care for the jewels.

They really have to nail TASM3 or this franchise will be at Marvel faster then a stoner to Amsterdam.

Every few days it's been dropping 1%. I wouldn't be surprised if it was in the 60's in a couple of weeks.

You mean when they reboot it again and everyone turns on this franchise and sides with the hip new series? Y'know, like what happened with the Raimi films.

Eighth-ed?

The crazy thing to me is that after the awful first ASM I had really low expectations for this one and it still turned out to be worse than I ever imagined.

I hate this movie with great passion.

The RT score surprised me, I thought it would at least be close to the original TAS1 RT score, but yeah the movie seems to have lots of problems based on reviews and I have yet to see it. The trailers originally did nothing for me, I felt the trailers showed too much and the story they tried to sell seemed weird and uninteresting. Plus I hate how Electro looked, and his dweeb turned villain arc was looking cheesy every time I saw clips of Electro. I want to watch this movie just to see if it really is the worst Spider-Man in the series.

It's very anticlimactic with a third act that absolutely collapses as did SM3. The performances in the middle are tolerable, but nothing stands out. I would recommend Red Boxing it for a dollar at this stage.

That was actually my plan, especially since right now I am anticipating Godzilla and X-Men for May.

Well Godzilla didn't have cringeworthy moments through, quite literally, the ENTIRE movie.

I saw thought and care go into Godzilla. All I saw for ASM2 was "let's make money and introduce the Sinister Six for more money but make it appeal to the younger audiences so make them really, really, really, really, really, really hammy and unbelievable."
"But sir, that's not how the comics portrayed them..."
"There are comics?"

Try visiting the Fantastic Four forum & say you are a fan of how that one is going & see the big difference between here & there

I don't think there would have been much of a problem there if those who liked the direction of the film were willing to engage in an honest debate. But all 90% of them ever did was just complain about other posters not liking the direction of the film. Calling those that were against the direction of the film idiots and bigots. It was essentially trolling. The admins eventually got after them for it.

I know thats why I dared him. Because anyone looking forward to the movie can not have an honest discussion in there

Yeah, it's like 2007 all over again.

Exactly.

The Majority has spoken. The film has little to no redeeming qualities.Henceforth, this film shall be a joke to be brought up repeatedly and the gifs shall pour forth.

:whatever:

I'm happy with the direction the film took.Instead of forcing an unnaturally dark tone on the character like they did with the first film,(which was a crime of epic proportions)they actually let Spidey act like Spidey. They didn't whip the mask off in every-single-action scene. They gave us a kick butt opening with Spidey against another low level Spidey villain. And they did right by Gwen's death.Isn't that pretty much what we asked for?

Now,the Goblin was shoehorned in and looked unimpressive (but hey, when you rail against a reasonably accurate mask for years, don't complain when the studio gets gun-shy about putting the Goblin in a mask).Max wasn't really as bad as people act,but even forgetting that,Electro was pretty awesome after his transformation.Kafka,yeah.I got nothing. It was bad.But hanging on to those two scenes are as stupid as the people who condemn SM3 over the dancing scenes.

I think they addressed most of the issues TASM had,so now is not the time to make Sony go backwards and repeat the flaws of the first TASM.Which is exactly whats going to happen just like it did after SM3.Another Grim/Dark Spidey movie is more worrisome to me,than Electro saying some cheesy one-liner.

I've honestly seen the movie way too many times to be healthy, all in theatres, and I've loved it every time. I just cannot see what people are complaining about, doesn't mean it's not there, but I just really don't see anything. I thought Max Dillion was adequete at worst, kafka was pretty poor but he was in the movie for 5 minutes tops.

I thought the good parts of the movies were done exceptionally well as well, lots of moments in there that left me in awe.
