Fellow Hulk fans, in case any of you haven't seen this on Youtube, here's a compilation clip of Hulk smashing scenes from the MCU and also from Ang Lee's Hulk movie. Absolutely awesome.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDBG9kG5Yv8

It just reminds me of a few things:

1). How unbelievably strong he is in the Ang Lee depiction. Maybe stronger than Avengers Hulk? It's debatable.

2). How comparatively less strong & durable he is depicted in The Incredible Hulk. It's a minor complaint in what was otherwise a good film.

Planet Hulk would be great when the MCU needs to be shaken up. For now lets get a Hulk solo that they actually acknowledge properly lol. Civil War too I think would have more impact when more heroes have been introduced and after they'd known each other for longer but it looks like it's going to be closely tied in to AoU, IW1 at least and the phase as a whole so it should still work well.

Hulk was never involved in Civil War was he?

No, he was off-world when it happens.

Lots of information has been provided this week with the Empire magazine and Digital Spy articles.

I love that its strongly hinted that we will get to see Banner and Hulk interact in the movie. Did anyone else notice that Ruffalo stated that Banner would be involved in the preparation of Hulk contingency plans? This suggests that the two personas will have a tricky co-existence in the movie?

I must admit I was sad to read about what seems to be the destruction of the Science Bros friendship. I would have liked to see more of them as friends before we got to this as I loved their friendship in Avengers. I was also disappointed to see Whedon confirm that Banner and Widow will have a romance. He's right to say they are an odd pairing and I have never liked this rumour. :csad:

I agree that it's to early for Planet Hulk. Lots of other stories could be told before the MCU covers that tale.

That bromance was never gonna last with Stark actually building something as a contingency for his buddy.

I honestly never got why building contingency weapons is always treated as the worst possible betrayal, but that's a whole other argument.

It's a trust thing. Plus the Hulk persona more or less has the mindset of a kid and would immediately think that.

Stark is a *****e of course he would do that. I can't wait for Hulk to destroy him in this film.

Maybe not for a childlike angry Hulk, but Banner would most certainly understand and probably thank Tony for it.

Exactly.

And not even the Hulk, but uh, anyone remember the cosmic artifact from the first movie that brainwashed Hawkeye and was almost used on Tony?

In a world with crazy unknowns like that it makes sense to be prepared just in case a bad guy ever manages to replace or control one of the Avengers.

That's why I always thought it was so stupid that it was such a controversy in the Justice League. Uh, how many times has a bad guy switched bodies with Superman or the Flash or someone else? How many times have they fought evil counterparts of the heroes with the same or similar powers?

Why WOULDN'T you come up with contingency plans just in case?

Contingency plans make sense but I guess the key issue is being open with friends and to discuss the need for this approach? Like another stated, Banner would welcome a contingency plan but would probably want to be consulted to make sure whatever was put in place wouldn't make a situation worse.

Good stuff. He's the ''nuclear option'', the big gun; as it should be. ;)

I do like the wording "nuclear option" because the Hulk, as a manifestation and character, has always been analogous to a weapon of mass destruction, the fear of war and things of that nature.

Oohhh they definitely better make that S.O.B for sale, it's too f'n awesome not to be bought. I don't even collect posters anymore but I'd buy that one no hesitation.

Apparently the Fathead wall decals for Hulkbuster describe it as the brainchild of both Tony and Bruce. They're also apparently both responsible for Ultron.

So the science bros may actually be safe in AoU, if those descriptions are reliable that is.

(though Tony still has many screw ups left, so maybe they'll split in Civil War)

(and Hulk will probably still hate Tony and Bruce for the Hulkbuster attempt, so I guess you could still have science bro drama in the form of half of Bruce hating Tony)

I wonder if they'll actually confirm or clarify as to whether military forces or third parties are after Bruce for his Hulk persona?

I keep hoping to hear about General Ross or a hulkbuster squad in Agents of Shield, given they have Talbot. But there hasn't been a peep about Hulk being hunted since the A1 line of "kept some interested parties off your scent".
