The only explanation behind what you're doing is that you suddenly realized that I was right, and tried to change the context in which you were arguing, because I never compared the yellow bug thing to the real world.

I implied that, in comics, things like secret identity concealment can be taken for granted, while things that have a six-issue mini-series devoted to them cannot.

I compared one comic thing (secret identities) to another comic book thing (Rebirth).

It's not that f***ing hard to understand. For your own good, please work on your reading comprehension. Maybe you should consider being tutored by that handicapped kid.

Parralax WILL be affecting the GLCorp as a large whole.

What Leaguer is trying to say is that Superman's ridiculously hidden secret i.d. is trivial, it's a small detail. Whereas the yellow impurity that gave the GL Corps a (much needed, IMO) vulnerability was something that could be considered trivial BEFORE became a much bigger issue when it took an entire mini-series to flesh it out.

You shouldn't take Leaguer seriously. You should realize he doesn't like the Hal Jordan character, either. When are people going to learn this? And, Leag...are you going to stoop so low as to keep doing this to amuse yourself? For shame!

sure, if you want to compare the two aspects, i guess you can make the case that the fact that superman's identity hasn't been made public yet automatically makes his secret identity more trivial than the fact that parallax caused the weakness to yellow for hal jordan. however, that was never presented in this debate before. leaguer just flat out said i was "wrong" with nothing to back it up. i can deal with a rational debate, but leaguer didn't even try. he'd rather just make up some bullshyte statement on how he's always right, rather than actually invest himself in a civil debate. i still maintain that they're both trivial in regards to real life, since they're works of fiction, but i appreciate you articulating an actual argument against my stance on the topic.
