I think that instead of rebooting, Marvel just needs to "slow down" a bit. Not every story needs to be a big world-ending crossover with massive continuity consequences.
Sometimes an issue can be "here's two Avengers (or two X-Men) on a date and whoops something wacky happens!"[/QUOTE
I completely agree, comics that have entertaining short stories without reality altering situations are some of my favorite ever.
If there were a line-wide reboot, I would take the opportunity to drop all my comics from Marvel. I tried with DC's New 52 and everything was awful. I might continue reading the rebooted Thor stuff just to see how it is, but I eventually ditched even my favorite DC characters' New 52 series. Not even Thor would be sacred enough to me if Marvel's reboot turned out as badly as the New 52 has.
On the up side, I'd save myself a lot of money and be able to focus on more indies, which are usually better quality overall than the Big 2's necessarily conservative stuff anyway.
He's perfect where he is now as a scientist with a doctorate and his own mini version of Stark Enterprises.
Most of us aren't of genius level intellect though. It's frustrating to watch such a brilliant person having to sell pictures of himself for scraps. Dis Uncle Ben have any catchy slogans about wasted potential as well as power and responsibility?
Bummer i always loved there Blade stuff, but there is so little of it. The same with Midnight Sons. It was a Good ideaHorror comics do not sell well at Marvel. They had a Morbius and Brother Voodoo book at Marvel in the past couple of years and both did not last long. The Morbius book was on the heels of 2 successful Spider-Man spin offs too. There is a Ghost Rider comic currently I think but they never seem to last either.
It's hard to get anyone to try these things when there's so much Avengers and X-Men flooding the market.
Peter is unable to fulfill his potential because his responsibilities to being Spider-Man prevents him...
Peter wants a normal life, but his guilt ridden responsibilities to being Spider-Man prevents him from doing so... It's the perfect dichotomy and it's what makes us want to BE Spider-Man... Because he always takes the higher moral road in spite to how much it'll screw up his life as Peter Parker.

I agree but with Disney holding the purse will theyI believe the horror line can thrive at Marvel with good creative teams and good stories...

Nah. They've had good creative teams and GREAT stories in the past on their horror stuff, and nobody cared. I remember how well written Darkhold was, but back in those days, nothing at Marvel was really selling unless it had a big ****ing "X" in the title, no matter how ****** the content was...![]()
