Saddest Character Death Scene

Walt Kowalski
Gran Torino

I saw it coming but it was still depressing.

When King Kong dies it always gets me. I also have to agree with Ziggyman that when Bruce Willis dies in Armegeddon is tough. Even thought the movie wasn't the best seeing a dad tell his daughter good bye is hard.

All the deaths in LOTR are really sad (especially when Theoden is at his son's funeral).

Also, Rocco's death in Boondock Saints had me wiping tears away (that whole scene is awful).

Will Smiths dog in I am Legend.
The masterstroke of that one is how slow and drawn out it is. Watching the infection slowly take effect, the inevitability of it is excruciating every time.

I'm not embarassed to admit that the first movie death I ever shed a tear on was Jack Dawson in Titanic. I was 10 when I first saw that movie in theaters, Ok! *sniff*

I think I have something in my eye.
