Saddest Character Death Scene

A lot of people will probably hate me for this one, but Kirk's death in 'Star Trek: Generations'. The fall was surely cheesy, but Picard's reaction afterwards made it all work for me.

Someone else threw a Video Game in here so here's my pick:

[YT]fiV4M0NdQdc[/YT]

The only fictional character's death that ever really got to me.

Oh and I second Spoons in Dog Soldiers. "I hope I give you the ****s!"

Jack Dawson in Titanic

Optimus Prime in The Transformers: The Movie (1986)

John Cazale in Dog Day Afternoon.
Jeff Bridges in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot.

Lenny in John Steinbeck's Of mice and men, the book not the film (it says character, not movie character).

-Noah and Allie in the Notebook (Don't Hate)
-Even though we don't see it: Adrian's death in Rocky Balboa,, the flashbacks got me.
-Sebastian Valmont's death in Cruel Intentions. For some reason that seems to be the first movie I remember that didn't have a happy ending.
-Will Smith's dog in I Am Legend

I'm sure there are more that have got me just can't think, just watched The Day The Earth Stood Still and trying to figure out how to travel back into time to get that 90 minutes back

That was a really sad scene.:csad:

Will Smiths dog in I am Legend.

Jesus in The Passion of the Christ.

Leonardo's character in Titanic.

Spock. Star Trek II.

Case closed.
You know, I kind of agree here, though actually I find the funeral much more powerful than the point of death.

I was kind of sad when Rorscach died in Watchmen. Knew it was coming though.

The T-Rex in Jurassic Park 3. Not a great movie by any means, but T-Rex was my childhood favorite, so to see it lose just ticked me off.

Order 66 in Revenge of the Sith. A few fan favorites died, and it actually made me cry in theaters.

the violin players in Titanic when they play the last song before saying "It's been an honor playing with you." music moves me. in ways not many understand. that whole scene messed me up.

Well, I guess I was thinking the whole exchange. But yeah, especially when Kirk is trying to hold himself together "Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most.......human."

Definitely. People can rip on Shatner's acting all they want, but he was brilliant in that scene.

Wash from Serenity, a tear almost everytime
Captain Kirk's second death in Generations
Murphy's burtal murder in Robocop
T-800 in Terminator 2
Vesper in Casino Royale
Captain Grey in Final Fantasy:Spirits Within
Coffey in Green Mile
Sheperd Book in Serenity
Dizzy in Starship Troopers
Leon in Leon:The Professional

I really should stop coming into this damn thread, I just keep spoiling myself :(

For me,the saddest movie death has gotta be in 'Watership Down'.

To this day, I still cant hear 'Bright Eyes' without bawling like a baby, and I certainly will never be able bring myself to watch the film ever again.

Scarred me as a child, that film did.

Maybe not the death scene itself so much, but the after effect of Hicks and Newt's deaths in Alien 3 was shocking. Ripley was all alone again.

Darth Vader in ROTJ
T- 800 in T2
Uncle Ben in Spidey 1
Mufasa in Lion King

Seita and Setsuko in Grave of the Fireflies
All the Jews in Schindler's List

Yeah, that was actually a bit of sarcasm on my part.

My last line about Pacino's subtle and understated performance should have given that away easily. ;)

Didn't quote you, bub. Many people have said Tony Montana, not refering to you.

Can't remember the character but the kid in The Last Samurai that was Ken Watanbe's son or understudy. Can't remember...imdb...
