im seriously not joking, reason i think that is because i can't think of any other way to kill her off. I really doubt she'll be killed by any of the villains, or even if she was ill and died at the hospital, still i think peter has gone to too many funerals. i was thinking they can start off SM4 with peter visiting aunt may's grave.

I just think they'll show her die for sure, even if there have been one too many funerals in the series. She was like a mother to him, and has arguably been the most influential character to him in the entire series.

Aunt May needs to die, Peter and MJ need to get married, and the Lizard and Kraven should be in it...at least the Lizard. Peter and MJ uniting would reflect on May and Ben being together once again. Marriage troubles with Peter and MJ could also be seen in Doc Connors and his wife while he stays at his lab until all hours of the night, neglecting the ones close to him. Except Connors goes to far. Lizard could kidnap his wife or kid, change up the MJ kidnapping gig.

IMDb already confirmed Aunt May will transform into carnage. It was suppose to happen in Spider-Man 3 but they decided to keep that an important plot line for Spider-Man 4. My inside sources say Avi Arad is very keen on doing this storyline and believes it will bring in big $$$.

Marketing Campaign: One of the best translations of superhero costumes to live action films is the Spider-Man costume. Tweak it again for a whole new trilogy. How? Keep it the same but with John Romita Sr. Spider-Man eyes and black metallic webbing instead of silver. Done.

Villians: I don't know what TWO villians it should be... but start off the new Trilogy with a Classic Popular Villian... AT LEAST THE LIZARD.

Why are you people so intent on having Aunt May die? Her role in sm3 was minimal, her screen time can follow suit. As for the much needed new direction, thats great news! Here's hoping the beef things up a bit. No more awkward, whining, teary-eyed Peter. Lets see some natural confidence as opposed to him subconsciously slipping into ego-man.

As for the love story...I want some realism here. Either have pete and mj together where mj isn't a victim of any sort. She gives Pete advice and nurses his wounds etc...or pete and mj didn't rekindle their romantic relationship but remain good friends and although pete loves MJ, Gwen is also a love interest who pete is genuinely starting to have romantic feelings for...what does he do??

As for the villains, Lizard and kraven...with the potential lead victims being, Martha and Billy Connors.

I think this is good news.

Each individual scene n SM3 was well made, but the entire story didn't hang together well.

Raimi has directed the films well enough, but SM3 proves that he should stay a director (and his brother should stay a doctor).

With Star Trek, Batman, Bond and Superman (the latter unsuccessfully) getting re-booted, it is obvious that Sony are being pragmatic.

Good on them. By time SM4 comes about an entire decade will have passed from when production commenced on the first film.

If you think the 90's was long ago, imagine how distant the noughties will fell in 2010/2011!

Why does a new trilogy need to start with SM4? I don't get this trilogy mentality people have. I want good Spider-Man movies. Just make good individual movies. You don't have to have an arc. I think this whole trilogy fetish people have is starting to ruin franchises.

The first 3 movies had some arc, but were pretty much stand alone movies. The next movies should follow that same formula. I hope Raimi comes back as director, but I am not at all confident in it after reading the blip about the writers.

As for villains, I would like to see a combonation of any of these villains:

Lizard, Electro, Mysterio, Scorpion, and Kraven (preferably with the Lizard if he is used).

The only reason the first three movies are a trilogy is because of the Goblin saga. There's no other big name villains that carry on a saga like that.

Agreed, and even there, all the movies are stand alone movies. The goblin saga carries over, but it is not the main point of all three movies. It is a subplot in SM2 and SM3 (though it is heavily involved in the main plot of SM3). The Spider-Man movies are not a pure trilogy in the first place. It is a trilogy only due to the fact a 4th isn't out yet.

I just don't see the need for a 4-6 trilogy. Stand alone films are a better way to go imo.

I would like to see the next 3 movies revolve around the "stone tablet" mystery.
The first movie could start with two "advasary's" and build with each movie until you have the "sinister six" forming in the 3rd.

Also, I don't see the another "trilogy" happening. Amy Pascal already said that Sony is going to take a more James Bond approach and make SM4/5/6 more like stand alone stories.

These stand alone movies is what should be done and is what has been done, with the goblin business being carried over. This could have been done with venom but no.

I think Raimi seemingly killing off Ock was a disaster. He's the only villain that I could see returning as the ultimate villain to end these movies with.

All I know is, if Sony want to make another 3 movies, they better start getting their stories right from now, especially if they're planning a S6 movie.

Right now, all I care about is the lizard and Kraven for sm4...and for JJ to stop being such a run of the mill comedien because if we get scorpion, I want it true to the source material as much as possible and with the way JJ's been characterised, I just don't buy him going as far as helping to create the scorpion.

Everyone is so wrapped up in tying up all the seeds Raimi planted in his SPiderman universe and could care less about anything beyond that... only 7000 and a few others seem to get it. I don't see the logic really with wrapping up all the story lines and running yourself into a dead end... we need new characters... new arcs... and no way in hell is MJ and Pete comitted to some long term relationship after all that sh:t going down in SM3.

What we need first is a new male supporting lead... I say bring back John Jameson... they can build off the events from SM2. Make him like a career rival... maybe Pete wants to expand is career to aerospace and Jameson is an career rival or something. Now Parker/Spiderman has two Jamesons to deal with. Or just make someone up for that matter... something needs to be done in that department. Killing Harry and Brock (which made me sick... literally) so cheaply like that was a disaster...

And considering we haven't seen Felicia and got about fifteen minutes worth of Gwen... there should be no need to rush MJ/Pete to down the isle.
