Samurai Jack Thread

If it's been 50 years, does that mean the Scotsman is probably dead?

Either he's still alive out of sheer badassery or he's a cyborg.

Out of all the non-main characters in the show, I'd expect to see him, the grown-up Peach Baby, and the Guardian the most.

That trailer was awesome!!!! Jack's back, indeed!

That's what they drew the line at?

‘Samurai Jack’ Season 5 Review: A Bold and Brutal Finish to a Beloved Series

I am in the middle of rewatching all 50 episodes. Forgot how much i loved this show!

All most done with my re-watch. I'm on the Aku origin episode.

I actually have to watch this Saturday night as soon as it comes on and just comment online during it. This is a goddamn event for us that grew up watching it.

I have to agree that this is an event.

jack is back
one thing tough is it 50 years or 15 years Jack has been trapped?

It's been 50 years since the last adventure. So technically about 54.

And yeah, that episode was very well done. It wasn't so much the violence that warranted the TV14 rating, but the psychological toll that has been taken on Jack. It's really heady and not something I think would've been suited for normal Cartoon Network. Also, Sammy Davis Jr. Robot is my new favorite character.

I really liked the first episode. For a second, I was wondering if Aku was even really alive.

Scaramouche is definitely a highlight, babe.

I like how this episode explored Jack's psyche and how it's weighing on him. Very interested to know who the silhouetted samurai is, and where Aku's female cult originated from.

I actually couldn't wait for Jack to kill that robot guy..

Based on this first episode, I have a few theories on how this show will play out.

The horseman is one of Aku's minions, or a bounty hunter Jack fought in the past. Jack killed him, assuming him to be another robotic adversary, not realizing he had just taken a human life. The guilt drives him mad, and his figure now haunts him.

The leader of the female cult is the widow of the horseman.

Jack will fall in love with Ashi at some point, prompting a dilemma. Stay in the future with her and live a happy life, or go back to the past, and undo Aku's destruction, which would erase her from existence.

I loved how they played off an aura of mystery regarding Aku's absence, only to have him casually answer the phone and getting dropped a few minutes later.
