Heres the thing, theyre working on them, it doesnt mean its going to be their artwork coming to life at all. I say wait until you actually see the darn thing to call it god's gift to animation.

As for the current expected length of the All-Star Batman & Robin run by Frank Miller and Jim Lee, DiDio said, "I think we're looking at 12 issues. ”We're looking at them, but not getting them,” he added with some levity.



Miller better hurry up so we can get a good story on the book.

Finally, James Lucas Jones announced the biggest surprise by playing a clip of Comedy Centrals "The Colbert Report," in which faux host Stephen Colbert promoted his epic science fiction mary sue novel, featuring lead character Tek Janson. Following the clip, Jones declared, "when I first saw that, I said 'we have to secure the rights to do the comic book adaption of Stephen Colbert's Tek Janson.'" Details are still being sorted out with Colbert and his writing staff, but they will be involved with the new series' development along with a regular comics creative team.

As the creators ran down the lists of their current work, Paul Dini announced that he is working on a Black Canary/Zatanna hardcover graphic novel, with art by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti.

Paul Levitz stood to make an announcement, and spoke about a new strategy for DC to move into direct-to-video animation.

He continued, saying that DC is looking to do a series of titles that will tell the character bits and stories that were important to fans, and will be working with the comic book creators on them. The first title will be the previously-leaked animated film version of Darwyn Cooke's The New Frontier. Cooke will work with Stan (JLU) Berkowitz on the film, with Cooke providing key art direction.

Okay..New Frontier was one of the first GN I'd ever read from any comic book company and it's what got me interested in DC more and what made me adore Darwyn Cooke.

Actually I plan on naming one of my children 'Darwyn'

"This is just the beginning," Levitz said. "We're sitting around and thinking of more...so send all your suggestions in."

Asked about an All-Star Wonder Woman title, DiDio asked if the audience would be interested in one, which was met by cheers. "Would you be interested in Adam Hughes on an All-Star Wonder Woman book?" More cheers from the audience. "Great idea - we'll bring it up,” DiDio said.

In speaking about his Batman run and reasons why a reader should pick it up, Morrison said that he's going to be looking reasons why the characters like Batman.

"And Bruce Wayne naked."

I agree. I saw Hal and skipped over the cover to read the article at Newsarama, then I got to the bit about Perez's cover of The Brave and the Bold. When it said "guess who's on the cover" I thought of Waid's badass mini and guessed GL and Flash, got all excited, then scrolled up to see Hal and Batman. What a disappointment.

how can you be disapointed? it was announced like 6 months ago that it was hal and batman in vegas, but the way perez explained it to me is that on issue would be them two, then one leaves and the other is joined by some one else and so on, until the end of the arc the original 2 come back to wrap up. so issue 2 or 3 could have the flash and green lantern, but it would be bart since its in continuity

I haven't seen Superman Returns yet (it's going to be released here in about a month I think). Then again, Assassin already blew one half of that tidbit of info anyway. I'm not blaming you Twy.

I'm most excited about the return of the JSA and Infinity Inc.
