what does that have to do with Marvel?
I think he means there should be a solo movie for Black Widow in the MCU.
Phase Four. Let's hope so!Maybe one day.
Yes, she must have a lot of combined minutes across all the films by now. Very much part of the infrastructure of the MCU. Hopefully she gets something, and I wouldn't mind if Hawkeye was involved too. Lucy can only have helped their case.Phase Four. Let's hope so!
So far Natasha has played prominent roles in MCU and Lucy’s success (and probably Ghost in the Shell) proved that Scarjo can carry an action movie on her own.
Black Widow imo doesn't need her own movie. She works best and has proven herself to be a highly functioning supporting character. The closest we'll get to her having her own film was Cap 2: Winter Soldier, where she was essentially co-lead. The MCU needs to focus on telling stories on recently new additions as well as introducing and developing new characters. Black Widow has been in 5 movies and by next summer she would have filmed her 7th. At this point I think a solo film for her is not needed and quite frankly it would be a waste of time; but Marvel obviously will decide if she does indeed get one or not.

I'd argue that the only film that she's ever had a consequential arc or character development (i.e. a change in worldview) in was TWS and *maybe* CW.
Scarlett's star power is second only to RDJ's among Marvel actors - anyone with an interest in making money would be crazy not to capitalize on that. The MCU will want to keep some kind of continuing thread from Phases 1-3 going into Phase 4, and Widow is a good candidate for that since her story hasn't been fully told yet. Having a film that requires little CGI and is more human-level (Dark Knight anyone?) would be a good change of pace after IW.
Agreed.Realistically speaking, Marvel and Johansson already know whether there's a Widow film forthcoming in Phase 4.
They're not going to admit or hint to anything until at least the first Infinity War film is done.
