The Dark Knight Rises Scenes You Want To See

Yeah, his parents werent mentioned at all in TDK, as if Batman got over it completely. He has to visit their graves in B3.
Lone Wolf, i like your idea about a date with Selina in the Iceberg lounge. It would be a great cameo for the penguin.
I also want to see a good fight scene with Batman against the main villain. He's been fighting nameless thugs, dogs and cops so far, its about time he fights someone with the same skills. Ras doesnt count because we couldnt tell what was going on for most of the time.
Even if the main villain is a weakling like the Riddler, he could still hire a mercenary to help him out, like Deathstroke. Or they could be working seperately, it doesnt matter.
Yeah, Riddler's main plug as a character is that he has investigative skills that rival Bats and thinks he can outsmart him. So I agree Batman should have a good, memorable fight. Deathstroke is a good idea, myself I was thinking Prometheus. :p

Or hell, maybe even Lady Shiva.

i want to see batman manipulate his shadow more...like he did in BTAS all the time. completely everwhelm the bad guys with his shadow before taking them down.

I think Deathstroke could be adapted as a surviving member of the League of Shadows. A vigilante, but who is willing to go all the way. And who has a grudge against Batman because of the death of his master...Ra's.

Could be a cool way to bring the trilogy full circle.

Imagine if Bruce executed that prisoner without hesitation in Begins. That would be Slade. He didn't hesitate.

:D Thanks. I just think we need to see something like that. Maybe not a church but on a roof of some kind. With the rain pouring.

That's another thing missing from TDK I feel, not a lot of rain. I've always thought of Gotham as rainy and smoggy, like London or something.
Yeah, i agree. We didnt see any rooftops, slums, etc in TDK. The Narrows were fantastic in BB. Most of Gotham should be a bit like that (not that bad though) with only the central financial district being clean.
I'd love to see a chase and fight scene that takes place on rooftops...in the rain!
We need more atmosphere and fun in the franchise. I mean, during the docks fight scene in BB, batman moved rather unrealistically around the crates, and yet it was great. And what about the fight scene in Arkham where he swoops down, hits one thug and then carries the other to the roof like a monster (supposedly using his grapple line)!
He shouldnt be overly restricted by realism.

I dont expect any more theatricality from Nolan... :cmad: We got none in TDK.

Thanks :D

I think he'd have to be adapted if Nolan uses him. I dunno if the whole healing factor and that would fit into Nolan's world.

Not so much scenes but things i'd like to see/hear...

1. A mention of Metropolis or something from Metropolis... Alfred handing a copy of The Daily planet to Bruce perhaps?

2. A scene in Arkham where we get to hear the Joker laugh in the background.

3. As someone else said, the batman using his cape to cast the shadow of the bat.. becoming more BATman than batMAN.

4. A scene where in the background is a poster for the circus advertising "The Flying Graysons".

Completely agree.

I know TDK wanted to go for a more crime thriller vibe. But still, it shouldn't of sacrificed the more fantastical moments. Begins had some moments like what you just described, TDK didn't really have any.

i would love a few nods to the rest of the DCU. nothing cheese like clooneys "this is why superman works alone".....

i always thought it would be cool to see bruce coming into wayne enterprises to have his secretary say something like "Mr. Oliver Queen called, he had to cancel your lunch date. He said it was an emergency"

Many people want future villains to originate from the League. I say lets move on. The League was one thing, why cant there be other ninjas or criminal organisations in the world? It would only make Deathstroke more menacing because we already know everything about the league.

I also dont like the part where he is supposed to take revenge for Ras. That would mean that he is dead, when clearly his supernatural status wasnt really set to stone. Therefore he could return in the future (say Talia retrieved most parts of him from the wreck and put them in a Lazarus pit - It has been done in the comics..) by another more open minded director who could carry on after Nolan.
I would certainly like to see the series continue. The comics do, even if the writers change from time to time. Dont need another reboot and i dont need a bunch of "visionary" directors doing their thing... There are so many stories left to explore.
Thanks :D

He doesnt need a healing factor. He just needs to be a great fighter.

HELL YEAH TO ALL 4!!! :applaud

2. The Joker should have a cameo, even the slightest. You just cant expect him to remain silent for the duration of the next film. He can at least stir some trouble with the other inmates in Arkham.

1. I especially like this one. As i ve said many times, i'd like this bat-franchise to carry on after Nolan and following the example set by Marvel, be incorporated in a wider DC movieverse along with the rebooted Superman, Flash and GL movies. I would donate my house for a Superman/Batman movie! There is a reason there is a very successful comic series about the two of them. Batman purists like Jett can choose to not watch it and keep watching the batman movies and reading the unimaginative Dini comics (yeah they are good, but are they anything special or innovative? Hardly).

People who dont like Batman in the JL can simply stay away, but i say that there are a lot of interesting stories and character insights to be found in them. Sure, something's gotta give, and that's the fact that the other characters are powered down and batman is powered up, but still...
But through the comparison with the others, each of the JL members shines on his own and is explored in new ways. Just watch the JL and JLU animated series. They are pure gold! Here is one of my favourite moments (tell me what you think):

No. I hate it when superheroes crossover. It's so lame and cheesy.

I mean, it's enough of a strech to believe that ONE superhero could exist in the real-world, but to imagine a large group of superheroes (from other planets, even!) existing in that same universe/story? Way too much of a stretch for me.

Crossovers can be lame and cheesey...
"This is why Superman works alone" from batman and Robin was cheesey with an extra helping of cheese.. It wasn't so much a nod to the fans, it was Clooney saying the line then practically turning to camera and winking at the audience.

What i'm looking for is something subtle...

Alfred handing a pile of newspapers to Bruce.. One of which is the Daily Planet, we don't even need to see the entire title, just the Daily, the globe logo or the planet.
Think Captain Americas shield in Ironman. Think the mention of Gotham in Superman returns...it was a nod to the fans and was done "right".

I missed that! Could you describe it to me?

As for crossovers, i think that every member of the JL can work in almost any crossover. Apart from Batman. Wherever he participates, it needs extreme caution in order to work. But IMHO it can be done successfully.
In any case, the Flash can travel across the universe in the blink of an eye, sometimes even travel back in time (yeah he is so hax its stupid) so him and Superman can clear the floor before GL and WW even blink. Therefore, since you have to make some adjustments for even GL to work, just make some more for Batman to have something to do in a fight. Usually the opposing enemies are too many so there is work left for him, or the super powerful villains underestimate him and he uses that against them. I remember an episode from The Batman where he fought Sinestro and managed to steal his ring. Game over for Sinestro...

There was a scene where a news reporter was on screen doing a piece on Supermans return, at one point she mentions Gotham.

I know you meant for it to be subtle, (Subtle really is the best way to go) but I just hate the idea of superheroes existing together within the same universe. A Daily Planet newspaper suggests that during said scene, somewhere offscreen, miles from Gotham, Superman is probably flying around in red tights.

I'd rather Batman be the sole superhero in his universe, Superman be the sole hero in his universe, same with Spidey, Punisher, etc. etc. etc. It's enough of a strech to believe that one superhero could exist in the real-world, but to imagine an entire group of them? All co-existing in the same world? Ehh.

That's why I never really was a fan of that Justice League cartoon..

I think Perry also mentioned a clown birthday massacre in Gotham. I need to rewatch it to be sure.

I feel the same way, at least in regards to the Nolanverse. Singer's Superman and Burton's Batman felt like they could coexist with other superheroes, and GL probably will too; Nolan's Batman not so much. It's the curse of the realism.

Nolans batman could coexist with Oliver Queen/Green Arrow....thats why i hope to see something small and quick like Bruce's secretary say "Mr. Oliver Queen called to cancel your meeting... said it was an emergency"

not even a part of the story, just as bruce is walking in to meet with lucius or something like that.

pretty sure there was mention of a clown birthday massacre.. not sure Gotham was mentioned tho.. looks like i'll be re-watching Superman returns too :)

There are a lot of Bat-Cliches in this thread.

shark-repellent bat spray anyone? :D

Why don't we post PICTURES FROM THE COMICS of scene's we'd like to see in Batman 3. There was a great thread like that during the time that The Dark Knight was in development.

I want Batman diving like a special tactic diver, he did that in an old comic.

1. Bruce at his parents gravesite. I can't believe we've never seen this in any Batman movie.

2. A restored and completed Batcave. I didn't care much for the much too lited underground temp "Cave" he use in Dark Knight.

3. Bruce working out in the Batcave.

4. Bruce using the "batcomputer" in the cave still in the suit but the cowl is gone.

I want to see a sex scene with Bruce and Selina.
