Schoolkids of the coming age....

School has changed a lot. I remember my elementary school thought 5th graders didn't need recess.

I still play on playgrounds and I'm a sophomore in high school. I will swing on swings, go down slides. Hell I love the little spinning mary-go-round thing. Tire swings were the ****. My friends are older than me, and we still go to the park, and we're a bunch of non-athletic nerds.

People still write notes in school. You can put more in them, and draw crap. Texts are limited and forbidden. You have to work to hide them, but notes are different. You can be listening to the teacher lecture and write them without them even noticing. They think you're taking notes.

School is only fun if you've been in the same district of schools in your life. It's hell if you've moved around.

Elementary schools still have tons of fun, but once you hit like... 6th grade, it sucks. No freaking recess. Lunches are only 30 minutes.

Not even jogging/running??

What next? Taking PE out of middle school and high school!?

You only have to do a year of PE in high school where I am.

I think it has to do with fear of parents suing the school when their kids get injured while playing at recess. This is a 'sue-happy' country afterall. People get sued for the stupidest and pettiest things.

That definetly sucks.

I know it sucks to work for a living and primarily for someone else but how sue happy everyone is getting these days is just immature and shameless.

For me it was two years. Preferably taken during your Freshman/Sophomore years.

We use to play full contact soccer in Elementary School and kids got f'ed up but we walked it off.

true. When you get older.....Going to the playground to play tag.....just...isn't fun no more

now it's all ''gossip'' and ''fashion'' and '' omg did you see who got voted off of American Idol last night?''

But damn it, Dodgeball is my lover. if i see a bunch of 4th graders playing it. i'l join in. And i'm in 8th grade and that's saying something.


At least the girls are mighty fine as you get older
