So review coming later, but I'll just say the Woodsboro hospital is one of the worst hospitals ever.

It's not the hospital per se, but I'm amazed at how Sidney and Jill survived being thrown into glass cabinets, smashing each others' heads into heart monitors and not knock each other out cold.

That said, I had a ball with this one. It revisited the cliches mocked in the first film, but gave it's own spin on it. I had several guesses who it'd be, but I was pretty surprised at the revelation. And the people at my theater laughed at Anthony Anderson's final line -- only a few people, though.

yea some people laughed for"**** Bruce Willis!"and I chuckled But my fav funny AA moment was"oh sh**t"and slapped his forehead with tons of blood coming out.

My brother has been a "Scream fan" since the beginning... he just landed in America a few days ago and the first thing he did was go to see the picture. He msg-ed me saying "It was so bad, I literally wanted to cry as I left the theater. They shouldn't have made the film."

Holy overreaction, Batman!

I thought it was awsomely great. Best one since the original and I loved the twist. Bring on 5!!

It will be weird to see another whole new cast with the trio if a Scream 5 is made.

Really hope Kirby is alive. She was hot and smart and Hayden's acting was amazing!

Just got back and LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!

Seeing Emma Roberts at the killer in the end was pretty jarring since she's so goody two-shoes in everything she plays. :hehe:

I really really really hope they find a way to keep Kirby alive for a sequel. Hayden was freakin' AWESOME in this movie. She reminded me of Tatum from the first Scream.

Much better than I expected. I loved who the killer was though:

I almost wish that Jill got away with it and killed Sidney, would've been a shocking ending. The hospital scene was too over the top and I wish that one of the trio died to make the stakes feel real. Several new characters died but none of the original. Now I feel like none of them are vulnerable. I feel like they should open the next movie by killing off Gale or Dewey just to re-establish the stakes, kind of like killing Randy off in Scream 2 did.

Beginning Girls: Charlie and Jill (team effort)
Olivia: Charlie
Rebecca: Charlie
Gale's attack: Charlie
Aunt Kate: Jill
Hoss: Jill
Perkins: Jill
Kirby: Charlie
Robbie: This is confusing, but I think it was Charlie while Jill was taking care of Trevor
Trevor: Jill
Just got back from the second viewing;

x Jenny - Charlie
(He was the Stab fanatic and wanted to take out Jenny because she "hated" the films)
x Marnie - Jill
(Marnie was who Trevor was also "dating", she asked if GF was Trevor...)
x Olivia - Charlie
x Rebecca - Charlie
_ Gale - Charlie
[party then broke apart, headed to Robert's residence by himself ->]
x Hoss/Perkins/Kate Roberts - Charlie
(Jill had left to go to Kirby's, and she didn't say "I killed my mom", just "my mom had to die...")
x Robbie - Charlie (GF reacted to Robbie's "I'm Gay!")
x Kirby - Charlie
x Trevor - Jill
x Charlie - Jill

In regards to the killings
When Charlie hands his little camera over to Jill he names off several people that he killed..starting with Robbie...also Marnie was one of the names. I'll have wait til it comes out to catch everyones name he mentions

Just got back from a showing. Liked it. Not amazing, but a good tribute to the original, and entertaining throughout.

IMO, it would have been a better ending to have Sid killed off and have Jill get away with it. The ending got pretty silly, although it allowed for a few good lines.

Still, I enjoyed it, best one since the original by a mile.

Well I don't really agree about Sidney and nor do I agree about the hospital,But sure agree about the trio and the way the next one should open up!

Got back from it just now. Absolutely loved it, and would give it a very solid 8/10. I felt this was easily the best Scream since the original, hands down. I never cared for Scream 2 or 3 at all, though 2 has grown on me with recent rewatches. With that said, this sequel IMO easily destroys them both and while it's still not as good as the original, in terms of entertainment and quality, it isn't far off, IMO. I felt the balance of humor and suspense was done almost perfectly and much like how it was in the original. It was never boring and always entertaining, and it was awesome seeing the three mains (Sidney, Dewey and Gale) together again, they're just as awesome as ever. I really dug the new characters as well and was genuinely upset when some of them died. I overall enjoyed this movie a ton and can't wait to buy it. Great comeback for both the series and Wes Craven as well, I say bring on Scream 5 and 6 if they're as good as this. I don't have too many negative feelings towards the movie, other than maybe I would've liked to have seen some more of the supporting characters.

That one part made me immediately think of Liar Liar with the "I'm kickin' my ass, do ya mind?!!!" If you've seen it, you know the part. :hehe:

Favorite and least favorite characters from Scream 4?

Least favorite = Rebecca, Sid's assistant. She was so eye-rolling annoying. I know ppl can speculate on her campiness and say it must have been Ehren Kruger's fault, but I remember reading her sides months ago and the character was the exact same. So, no. Sorry Kevin, Rebecca sucked.

Most favorite = Kirby. And psycho Jill. Obviously lol.

Also, looking back on the casting announcements now, does anyone realize

When Wes and Dimension were announcing Emma Roberts to be the new generation's Sidney, they were actually giving away the twist? Brilliant!

Favorite character?

Kirby, hands down, for me.

I know she was Morg's and he probably ain't even seen it yet.

Bad News people the Estimates that are coming out for this weekend says that Scream 4 won't get over 20 million. Maybe that will change as this weekend goes by but that is a little disappointing.

I hope this movie does well at the box office, it deserves it :(

As for favorite new characters, I have so many. I really loved the cast in this one, for me they were just as memorable as the original movie for me.

that's weird!,reviews has mostly been positive with people mostly having positive feedback......I assumed word of mouth would help a whole lot!

Plus it's hype and all,I guess people really are starting to get tired of of franchise already!

People will definitely remember Hayden's character for not just her personality, but her totally out of place hair style.

Her hair made her more attractive somehow...

I loved her haircut. I think it makes her look more mature.

Favorites : Sidney , Kirby , Gale , and Jill in psycho mode

Least Favorite: Olivia ( she was mostly filler) , Deputy Judy ( she was just a red herring i thought) , and Rebecca (they made a character you want to get killed) . Not that I disliked any of them but I didn't care for their survival.

I've seen so much difference in the estitmate I've seen it's also OVER-PERFORMING. I won't believe numbers until I see the Sunday news about the box office.
